"Shift!" Zach stares me down threatening as we both stand in the sparring circle.

He was trying to teach me how to shift on command just in case the pack was put in danger but this anxious feeling in my stomach was holding me back and I knew it all too well.

Fear.

"I-I'm not sure about this Zach." I say nervously.

"You'll be fine Aurora, trust me." Mileena growls at his words.

"We trust no one."

Zach holds his hands up in a surrendering motion.

"Woah, take it easy. All I am trying to do is make you believe in yourself but I can't do that if you don't have faith in what you're truly capable of."

"I'm sorry, it's just that I haven't shifted ever since we went on the run a while back and I don't think I'm ready to do it again let alone fight someone."

Suddenly I feel a hand on my shoulder, looking up I see Zach with a sympathetic expression on his face.

"I don't expect you to be perfect, hell no one in this pack is but you're the Luna. People will soon start to look up to you and expect nothing but the best."

I nod my head in agreement.

"Y-Yeah you're right."

"Great! Now just focus on being a wolf, listen to your surroundings and become one with nature." I close my eyes and take a deep breath.

Just relax Aurora.

In a instant I start to feel my bones crack and my spine bend as I was shifting into my wolf. Seconds later I was on all fours and Mileena let out a happy bark.

'Feels good to be a wolf again.'

I look up at Zach who had a cocky smirk on his face.

"I knew you could do it."

'Thanks for believing in me Zach.'

"What are friends for?" I smile.

We kinda look at each other in complete silence, not really knowing what else to say. My eyes land on the soft grass that blew softly when a gust of wind passed.

"What's that on your shoulder?" Zach speaks up.

I give him a confused look before directing my eyes towards the mysterious mark on my shoulder.

'I don't know. It's been there ever since I first time I ever shifted.' I tell him.

"And how long ago was that?"

'I first shifted at fifteen so not less than a year ago.'

His eyes grow wide.

"Holy shit." He takes a step back from me.

'What?'

"I think this is something you have to discuss with Jaxon."

'Why can't you tell me?' I tilt my head.

"Because if I do then I'm pretty sure Jaxon will kick my ass." He chuckles.

I nod and look away from him once again.

"Okay now shift back!" My eyes widen.

'We just shifted.' Mileena says.

"And that was good but to master shifting on command you need to also learn how to change back into human form just as fast or in case of false alarms." I roll my eyes.
