There was a day that I will never forget. It was one of the most painful days to remember, but it can't get out of my head. Why?
Because that day you fell. But not like other days. This one you fell down the mall's stairs when we went out together to spend some time as four. The elevators were under maintenance and I don't know why they can't repair it only one at a time and leave others working for a while.
I thought, no, we thought that day going to be a very exciting day with you. You know, we can do arcades, shopping, karaoke and many more but... it was just a dream... None of that happens and you were already covered with red liquid. Not only you but also Risa... one of the worst days ever.
At that time, we were going one level up using the stairs and Risa was the one that helps you with your balance. To keep yourself balance walking it up, you put your left arm around Risa's neck and Risa supports you by hugging your waist. Well, that is how we always help you.
Out of blue, there was a bi*ch who running down the stairs and accidentally pushed both of you hard. Accidentally? Can I even address that accidentally? I guess not...
You and Risa's bodies both rolled down the stairs so fast that I and Manaka couldn't even catch up. The impact that the bit*h gave... urgh. I caught a glimpse of Risa tried to put you into her hug to protect your head from any damage but couldn't and by the end of the stairs, you and Risa's head hit the ground so hard until it made a loud sound. A pool of fresh dark red liquid can be seen. If vampires ever exist, seeing the red pool must be heaven to them.
And that bi*ch don't even look back once and help.
That time, Manaka kept blaming herself, saying that it is all her fault and that if she didn't suggest going out, this won't happen. I am divided. Everything happened in just a second.
Manaka and I cried out loud because both of you didn't give any response. I can't help but think that both of you going to die if the ambulance did not arrive any sooner. And I guess Manaka thought the same too.
And yeah... the ambulance arrived late...
Both of you have lost so much blood. They said you guys still had chances to live but not 100%. Not 100%, huh. I was feeling so devastated the moment I heard it. Manaka too.
But still, I wanted to thank all of the people that helped us during that time.
I worried too much about both of you. Neither me and Manaka go home. We patiently wait for the result of you guys. Waiting in the waiting room feels like waiting in hell. I can't stop pumping my legs up and down repeatedly when sitting down. Manaka can't stop walking back and forth in front of me, can't make herself prepare to know what's the outcome for both of you.
And the result made us shocked. Both of us knees touched the ground... can't accept with what the result gave us.
We tried to find out who was that bi*ch through CCTVs around and file the police report after everything settled down but that bi*ch was smart. He covered his face with a face mask, his head with the hoodie until even the eyes can't be seen. And he disappears through a dark hallway, disappear using the thing air. Looks like he did it intentionally... up until today we still don't know who and why... I'm sorry... We really did try our best but...
Sorry, Hikaru...
