As they arrived and finally get Hikaru's room number, Yui runs to the room and open the door without even knocking it. She is so worried. The door flew open, revealing the lifeless Hikaru, and next to her bed are her parents. Three of them bowed.
It is rude to get into someone's room without knocking but Hikaru's parents can understand what they are feeling so they left the room to give them some space.
Yui walks closer to the bed. Her eyes roaming around the bed, looking for any wire that attaches to Hikaru's body. There's none but the girl's face is really pale.
The closer Yui walks to Hikaru's bed, the more regret feeling she feel. She holds Hikaru's right hand gently. She can feel how cold Hikaru's hand is. The sudden touch makes Hikaru open her eyes slowly and look to who is actually holding her hand.
"Yui-chan..." mouthed her in a very slow voice. She tried to sit up so they help her. Taking the glass on the table next to her bed and gulp the water down. She then put a smile on her face. But, looking at her friend's face makes her puzzled.
"Why are you guys crying? I'm still alive? I just choked, nothing else..." said Hikaru, trying to act as normal as she can when she is actually hurting inside. Her heart is hurting. It is because she still hiding her disease from her friends. She wants to tell the truth but she just doesn't know when and how.
But she doesn't know that her friends already know about it.
"I'm sorry... I am so sorry Hikaru...," said Yui, sobbing harder, cracking voice. "I am sorry because I don't help you when you really need it.."
Manaka and Risa just stand behind Yui's back. They know how Yui is feeling right now because they know she is the closest one with Hikaru and vice versa.
Hikaru rub Yui's back softly, trying to comfort the sobbing friend. She gives Yui a smile that means she doesn't think about it anymore. She forgives her already.
"It is okay, Yui. I am fine now. I just... choke. Not like I just got stabbed or ran into an accident or whatever. Don't worry..."
"But isn't it a sign?" Yui blurted. Manaka's and Risa's eyes open widely. Can't believe what just slipped from Yui's mouth.
"A- A sign? A sign of what, Yui?" Hikaru asked nervously.
Yui just realized what she said. Her eyes met Hikaru's nervously. She don't know how she should say it but she guesses it is useless to keep it longer.
"We... we all know about it, Hikaru. The disease. The disease that you are struggling with and... we know how the disease going to affect you. And, just a few hours ago, you just choked on your food, right? That... That was the beginning of everything, isn't it?"
Hikaru is speechless. One by one her tears start to drop out from her eyes.
"Hikaru... Please trust us... Please stay... Stay with us forever," said Yui as she wipes the hot tears on Hikaru's cheeks.
