You walk into class shortly after and immediately head to your seat, greeting Suho as approach him. You smile when he returns your greeting this time, before sitting down and getting your things ready for your first lesson.

Your homeroom teacher enters a few seconds later so you look up, grinning when you see Seojun walking in after him. You weren't aware that he's in the same homeroom class as you so you're a little shocked, but happy regardless.

When he makes eye contact with you after looking around the class for a few seconds, you childishly stick your tongue out at him. He looks to the side and scoffs to hide the smile that's threatening to make its way onto his face, and you roll your eyes with a grin at his reaction.

Once he sits down in the back row he glances around the room for a few seconds, and notices you looking at him with a wide smile. You throw him a thumbs up and he just buries his head into his arms to sleep, once again trying to hide his smile.

You look back towards the front of the class and pay attention to your teacher who begins the lesson, not noticing Seojun lifting his head back up to look at you.

You realise your pen has run out of ink just as you start writing, and when you can't find any spares in your pencil case you quickly turn back to Suho to ask him if he has one. He hands you a spare pen and you smile at him gratefully before turning back towards your desk to continue writing. Seojun watches the interaction in shock, not knowing that you were friends with Suho.

He isn't sure why his blood boils when Suho responds normally, and not with his regular cold reaction like he has with other girls. He has no right to be happy after what he did, he thinks to himself when he sees a smile on Suho's face. He places his head back down onto his desk with a sigh, and sleeps for the remainder of that lesson.

Once the lesson is over and everyone's taking a little break, you stand up and walk over to Seojun who's still asleep. You lean down to his level and grab his forearm that's hanging over the side of the desk, lifting it up to try to gain his attention. He wakes up seconds later and looks up, letting out the tiniest smile when he realises it's you before sitting up.

You lean back on the desk beside his and chat with him for a few moments, suddenly flinching at the sound of the door being slammed open. You look up to see to see a group of boys standing around Seojun's desk, and when he gets up and stares at them in boredom you become even more confused.

"Who are they?" you lean over to whisper to Seojun, but the exasperated look on his face tells you that there's nothing to worry about.
"Don't worry, they're my friends but they're just acting like idiots right now," he deadpans, and you chuckle before going to your other friends when he leaves with them.

When you turn around you see them all gaping at you with wide eyes, looking like they've all seen a ghost.
"What?" you ask, raising your eyebrows in confusion.

"Did I just see the Han Seojun smiling?" Taehoon asks in shock, and you roll your eyes at his words. They'd seen your interaction with him at the start of the lesson, as well as the little smile he threw at you, and they were beyond shocked about how he didn't seem annoyed.

"Oh shush, what's wrong with that?" you roll your eyes at their exaggerated reactions.
"He's never like that with anyone," one of your other classmates says after hearing the conversation, everybody else nodding in agreement.

"Wow Y/N, I knew you were friendly but I didn't realise you were that friendly. I was shocked when you managed to befriend Suho, but this is on another level. You never cease to amaze me," Taehoon says before clapping slowly, and you move towards him and lift your arm as though you're about to hit him. He flinches and moves to hide behind Sua, causing all of you to laugh.

When Jugyeong notices Suho speaking to Soojin she asks about their friendship. Sua explains that the two of them are quite close, having known one another since they were little, and that you and Soojin are the only two girls that Suho actually talks to.

"Of course, the smart kids always hang out together. They're even handsome and beautiful," Taehoon says, before pointing at you.
"Do you want to die?" you threaten with a laugh while taking a step forward, causing him to run away again.

When Jugyeong looks at Taehoon in confusion, Sua explains the meaning behind Taehoon's words.
"Ahh Soojin, Suho and Y/N here are the top students in our school," she elaborates while you continue to bicker with Taehoon, "Suho is first, Soojin second and Y/N third." Jugyeong nods in understanding.

Lunch is shortly afterwards, and after grabbing your food you head over to the table in the cafeteria where your friends are already seated. You sit in the chair beside Soojin that she'd saved for you, thanking her as you take a seat opposite Jugyeong. She responds with a smile and you all begin eating, Jugyeong speaking up after a few moments of silence.

"Seojun seems a bit scary." You giggle quietly but don't say anything at first, just listening to Sua who starts talking about his bad boy aura. You're honestly curious about what kind of things people have been saying about him, or what they really think of your best friend.

"There's a terrible rumour that he once beat up a student really badly, so that's why he took a break from school."
"Wow, people really think that?" you ask, and they look at you in confusion, "it's not true," you say with a chuckle.

"Exactly, apparently it's because he had some problems at home," you nod at Soojin's words before turning back to Jugyeong. She doesn't know what to believe.
"Please, he's a major softie. I don't know why everybody is so intimidated by him. He's honestly harmless."

Your friends are all looking at you as if you've just grown another head. There are a few moments of silence at your words, where they just stare at you and blink a few times. The sight is honestly comical, and if you weren't so confused you probably would've burst into laughter.
"You're literally the only person on this planet - the only person - who thinks that." You just roll your eyes at Taehoon.

"Seriously though, he's not as bad as everyone makes him out to be. He's so nice," you tell them.
"Easy for you to say," Taehoon scoffs, cowering behind Sua when you glare at him mockingly.
"Sure he was a little intimidating when I first met him, but he warmed up to me pretty quickly."
"Speaking of which, how do you know Seojun? He's been absent since before you transferred into our school," Sua asks and the others look at you, clearly just as curious.

They aren't annoyed by your friendship with Seojun in any way, just incredibly confused. They're surprised about how kind he was being to you, since he's normally really cold with everybody else. But they realise that, because of your lovely personality, if he's going to warm up to anyone it would definitely end up being you.
"Oh he's my neighbour, so I met him the day I moved here," you explain.

When the topic of the conversation shifts you look at Jugyeong and notice that she still seems quite conflicted, so you lean forward and throw her an encouraging smile.
"Everything okay?" you ask her. Sua, Taehoon and Soojin are too engaged in their own conversation to hear you.

"Ahhh well, I got into a bit of a situation and now I have Seojun's helmet. I need to give it back somehow," she says, explaining the story to you.
"Those boys are still bothering him?" you mumble to yourself, but then you break into a smile quickly and look back up at her, "I can return the helmet for you if you want me to?" you offer, but she shakes her head with a grateful smile.

"It's okay, I should probably apologise to him for the trouble as well," she rejects your offer kindly, "thanks though."
"Of course, no worries! Just let me know if you ever need help with anything." Her smile widens at your words.
