Allison and I stood at Lydia's locker, the red head speaking to us while Inkblot was at my feet, randomly hopping circles around me.

"Is it just me or is Beacon Hills turning into more like beacon for the totally bizarre and supernatural?" Ink and I shared a look, causing me to laugh a little, Allison just looking at me funny. As we turned to leave, this woman approached us.

"Where's Scott McCall?" We stared at her in surprise. She turned to our brunette friend. "You're Allison, right?" I smiled and pat Alli's shoulder as this woman gripped Allison ad Lydia's wrists.

"You guys go ahead, I'll talk to her." They nodded, spotting Allison's father and going over to him. "I'm Scott's sister, is there something you need?" She nodded, about to say something but staring behind me in surprise, radiating a very small amount of fear.

"Tell him I was looking for him, my name is Braeden." I nodded as she turned away, heading back down the corridor.

I jumped with a small scream, watching this woman turn the corner as a pair of arms wrapped around my waist, a head resting on my shoulder.

"You ready to go?" I turned my head in curiosity.

"Stiles?"

"Mhm, Scott needs us, so we gotta go."

"Really?" I turned around, whining. "I have to go?" Stiles had been oddly affectionate towards me recently, and I had no idea why, but I didn't stop him, just thinking we were becoming closer as friends.

"I drove you to school, I'm your ride home." I nodded in agreement as he released me, following after him with Inkblot now in my arms.

I walked into the burned house a little later than Stiles, having now found my brother waking up from being passed out in a chair.

"The fuck happened?"

"Scott finally got his tattoo, Derek did it." This was my first time meeting the man himself. I looked over to where Stiles nodded, noticing a rather built man, early 20's I'd say. I sent him a smile, which he returned, holding a hand out to me. I shook it.

"Derek Hale."

"(Y/n) McCall." Derek nodded as Stiles followed Scott out of house.

"So what are you?" Derek asked and I stared at him in surprise.

"What?"

"What are you? You've got a supernatural scent." I swallowed. I didn't know that...I thought ghost had no scent, that's what the book said.

"I don't have a scent."

"Exactly, everything has a scent, and because you don't, that means you're not human." I stared at the older male, unsure of what to say in this situation. "And your bird smells like death." I shrugged.

"That's cause he's dead." All throughout school, Inkblot, formerly known as Colin, had the appearance of a crow, retaining that scent too, but now he was free to appear semi-decayed again. He hopped into the room and flew up onto my shoulder, showing his dead, but alive, body. Derek grimaced and stared at him.

"So what are you? You don't have a pulse either."

"...I'm a ghost." Derek stopped what he was doing, staring at me in disbelief.

"You're a ghost?" Surprise was evident in his voice.

"I'm a ghost."

"But you shook my hand." I nodded as he stared at me, Inkblot sensing something. I let myself turn translucent, the crow flapping to fly when he fell through my shoulder.
