I walked down the stairs, dressed and ready for school, grabbing my keys from the kitchen island. Mom sent me a smile, handing me a plate of food.
"Eat before you leave." I nodded and took a seat at the table, starting on my breakfast. I heard footsteps drumming down the stairs, a fluffy haired teenage boy rounding the bottom of the stairs. He halted in his movements as I lazily waved to him, a fork in my hand and food in my mouth.
"Morning, Scott." Mom greeted my brother, who was stood dumbfounded in the doorway.
"You want a lift to school?" I asked, as if nothing had happened last year.
"Y-you're back?" I smiled, tempted to laugh at his shocked face, but it hurt due to all of the scratches and scrapes littering my skin, including my face. "W-when? H-how?"
"Do you want the ride or not?" I laughed, stuffing more hot food into my mouth. Scott nodded, taking a seat opposite me as Mom set the plate down.
"Y-yeah, that'd be great."
Arriving at school was fairly calm, although through the entire journey, Scott was asking questions and I was doing my best to answer them honestly. I pulled into the parking space beside the very familiar blue Jeep, which had also just pulled in. I switched the engine and slid out, slinging my bag over my shoulder. Scott followed my movements, hopping out of the car too. I stretched my arms above my head before going to cross the parking lot.
"Who's that?"
"(Y/n)."
"She's back?" There was silence. "(Y/n)!!" I heard someone call out, forcing me to turn around once I had reached the trunk of my car. I stared at Scott's best friend, offering him a smile as I approached the two.
"Hey Stiles..." For me, things had always been awkward between Stiles and me. Mainly cause I was older than Scott by quite a bit...Mom had us nine months apart, but close enough that we were in the same grade. It was also weird between us because before I had disappeared as a 15-16 year old, it was fairly awkward to have your brother's best friend walk in on you changing.
"Hey, how are you feeling? You've been gone a while..."
"I'm doing pretty great, but I have to go get my schedule, so I'll see you guys later." I turned on my heel and headed over to the school.
"Why is she covered in bandages and scratches? Is she like you?"
"What?"
"A werewolf." I glanced over my shoulder at the pair, who sent me quick, forced smiles. Werewolf...? Was Scott...supernatural? I shook my head and headed into the school, instantly going over to the main office.
"Hi, I'm here to collect my schedule and stuff."
"Name?"
"(Y/n) McCall." The receptionist looked up from her computer and sent me a smile. She typed something, clicked a few things and then the printer whirred to life, spewing out some paper. She pulled open a cabinet and looked back to the computer screen. She went back to the cabinet and pulled out an envelope, grabbing the page from the printer and handing both to me.
"Your locker information and schedule." She smiled. "It's good to see you back and safe." I nodded, returning her smile, thanking her as I took my stuff. I headed to the area of the school where my locker was.
"Allison?" The girl in question turned to look at me, smiling once she recognised me.
"(Y/n)! You go here now?" I nodded, opening my locker and recognising all of my texts books and such. I checked my schedule and took out the right books for first period, slipping them into my bag. "What class do you have?"
