So....We're gonna have a PRETTY BIG time skip. I am so sorry that you don't get to experience the many months the reader spends away from Beacon Hills, but I feel as though that because this is a Stiles x reader book, and that Stiles is endgame, that I should avoid writing six chapters without any of the pack interaction. I feel like we should just do a time skip, get to her return, and proceed with the Chimera/Dread Doctor arc. Try and get some more Stiles x Y/n moments as soon as possible. Yeah? Great, I agree, now that we're on the same page, let's get on with this chapter! :))
Dad offered me a smile as he pulled my bag from the trunk.
"So how'd you like a taster with the FBI?" I smiled and shook my head, Inkblot hopping around the ground beside me in the dark, headbutting the ground every so often.
"It was great, you work with some fun people." My dad chuckled and shut the trunk, pulling me into a hug.
"Your headteacher told me that you've gained enough credits to enter your Senior year." I smiled brightly, my father releasing me. "I'll be back at some point, okay?" I nodded. "Go see your mom, she's been waiting." I looked behind me and saw my mom stood at the door, waiting patiently but full of excitement. I smiled, waving to my dad before running over to my mom. She was quick to wrap me in a tight hug.
"How was it?" She took my bag and led me into the house, Ink following us.
"Wonderful."
"Nothing supernatural happened?" I shook my head with a bright smile.
"Nothing at all, not even with me."
"That's lovely." She set my bag at the bottom of the stairs, Ink perching on it's handle as the bar slowly sank down. He was enjoying the slow motion. "It's Senior scribe tonight, are you going?" I shrugged. "Sweetheart, you should go. You're going to be a Senior with them." I stared at her. "Go!" Mom laughed and I smiled, grabbing my keys as Ink jumped onto the floor, doing a funny little waddle run after me. "I've got work tonight! I'll see you in the morning, okay?!"
"Okay!"
Using my wonderful, wonderful dead person powers, I teleported to a dark part of the school's parking lot, following a group of students into the library since it was pouring with rain, and that's where Senior Scribe was usually held. Along with others, I lined up with them until someone clicked a pen shut and passed it on to me. I sent them a smile and took it from their hand, pulling it open and looking over the shelf. No initials I recognised, guess the others hadn't been yet. I took a deep breath and happily sighed, writing down my two initials before closing the pen. I turned to the person behind me and smiled, handing them the pen.
"Welcome back." They said to me and I continued to smile, recognising them as Sydney, the girl who fainted in the PSAT's.
"Thanks Sydney." I sat next to her in a few of my classes, so I guess she would have noticed if I wasn't in class. I headed back outside with Ink in my arms as I shielded him from the rain. I yelped when I bumped into someone, immediately looking up. My expression softened when I saw a teenage boy.
"Hey, sorry about that." I smiled and shook my head. Blonde, blue eyes....
"It's fine, I wasn't looking where I was going. I'm (Y/n)."
"McCall?" I nodded a little confused at how he knew me.
"I thought you were missing."
"I was for a little bit, came back to Beacon Hills during my Freshman year."
"Wow, must have been tough..." I nodded with a smile, hugging Ink into me. "I'm Theo, by the way, Theo Raeken. You might not remember me but-"
"We went to elementary school together. You left in like fourth grade, right?" He nodded, smiling at the fact that I had remembered him. "I should probably get home, it was great seeing you again, Theo." As I was about to leave, Theo spoke.
"Do you want a ride tomorrow?" I watched curiously as he rubbed the back of his neck. "We can swing by your house in the morning. It'd be nice not to come to school alone." I nodded.
"I know the feeling. I just got back from San Francisco, I'd rather not go in alone too."
"Great, see you at eight thirty tomorrow?" I nodded and offered him a wave before heading off to find another dark corner to disappear in.
I reappeared in my room and flopped down onto my bed, Ink settling onto my nightstand as usual.
"Big day tomorrow, first day of Senior year." I sighed blissfully and snuggled into my bed. Inkblot moved and cuddled into my side. "Good night, Inky."
