During our break, I teleported away, Ink appearing with me as I almost slipped on a pipe. I quickly caught myself with a yelp. The boy who was in the area with me, whipped around. I sent him a nervous smile.

"Hi." I offered him an awkward wave.

"Who are you?"

"I'm (Y/n), I'm supernatural." I quickly explained before he could go off on one to me.

"Werewolf?" I shook my head, Inkblot hopping around the dirt.

"Ghost. I can't control my teleporting thing yet, so when someone needs help, I just kind of appear at the moment." He nodded and I wandered over to him. "What's your name?"

"Derek Hale." I stared at him. Is he why everyone went to Mexico? I slowly nodded with a smile.

"I guess you're wondering what happened here..." He nodded. Dark brown, almost black hair, and dark brown eyes. "Well...something happened to your house, and so the council took possession of it." I sighed. "You should probably talk to Scott about this...I don't know why, but I feel like it isn't my place to tell you." Derek nodded, understanding me. As he knelt beside the wood, picking up a piece, the police showed up.

"Excuse me, young man? Miss?" I turned around, recognising one of the officers to be the new deputy.

"You're calling him young man?"

"Shut up, Haige." The younger of the two turned his attention back to us and I smiled sweetly. He was quite young...rather cute too... "Sorry, but you two can't be here." I looked over to Parrish, going over to speak with him while 'Haige' went to Derek.

"Excuse me? You're the new deputy right?" He nodded.

"Jordan Parrish." I smiled, nodding to signal I had acknowledged his name.

"I'm (Y/n) McCall, I'm Agent McCall's daughter." I pointed over to Derek. "I just found him here and came over to talk to him, see why he was here..." Jordan nodded and offered me a smile along with a nod.

"Shouldn't you be at school?" I sucked in a breath and chuckled nervously.

"Busted." I laughed to myself with a guilty smile.

"We'll take you to the station with him, and you can tell your dad why you're not in school." I nodded, agreeing to his terms.

"Should thought that through, huh?" Parrish chuckled and nodded, setting a hand between my shoulder blades and guiding me over to the car.

"Just wait here." He opened the back door and I slid into the seat, quickly realising something as he was about to shut the door.

"Wait!" He stopped, confused. "I left something." He nodded and stepped aside as I hurried back over toward the broken down house, scooping up the wandering crow. I slid back into the backseat as Parrish shook his head with a laugh, leaning on the door.

"Pet?" I nodded with a smile, setting the bird in my lap, gently stroking down his feathers.

"His name is Inkblot, he's very well-behaved."

"He seems it." The door the other side of me, opened, and Derek slid into the back seat with me. I smiled to Jordan and he returned it, nodding down to my feet which were hanging out of the door. I pulled them in and he closed the door.

I walked through the station and found Derek again. I smiled and dropped into the seat beside him, holding Ink in my arms like a stuffed toy or a puppy. The bird stared curiously at the other teenager. I spoke to him briefly before noticing Mr Stilinski looking from the computer screen to the boy beside me. The Sheriff then came over to us, staring intently at Derek. And then he went back to the computer. Us two teenagers shared a very confused look.
My head whipped over to the door as two people sprinted through it, their shoes squeaking as they came to a very abrupt stop. I shook my head and turned back to Derek, continuing with our conversation, introducing him to my bird.
