Betty, jughead and veronica had slowly started to rekindle their friendship, and were able to enjoy each other's presence . They had started to hang out together at pops, at school. They were always together.
Betty had then also gone on to invite jughead and Veronica to her house for a movie marathon.
"So which movie guys?" Betty asked as she sat on the sofa keeping the bowl of popcorn on the table.
"Let's choose one by one, which movie we want to see" veronica suggested
Jughead nodded "let's watch Marnie"
Betty groaned "what's you problem with movies of this decade?"
Veronica laughed "chill Betty, your turn will also come. I for one, do enjoy watching this movie"
They watch Marnie and Betty declares it horrifying. "Don't you think this film is kinda inappropriate."
"Guys, wait. You don't need to answer this" Betty cuts in with a laugh. "You guys get in too deep. So, can we just not watch this movie anymore?"
"Okay B. Your turn which movie do you want to see? Here's a thought you could pick a movie that you know jughead dislikes to take your revenge!" Veronica said with mirth in her voice
Betty laughed and jughead just looked at her annoyed.
"Okay then twilight it is!" Betty said smiling at jughead who just laid his head on his knees and groaned.
"Come on Jug! I bet you secretly like this movie. You just don't want to admit it!" Veronica said smacking his arm lightly
Jughead glared at her and swatted her arm away. "Celia, you're playing a dangerous game."
Veronica looked at him amused "why? What did i do?" She Questioned innocently
He just looked unimpressed and rolled his eyes"i thought you were like me, who enjoyed classics, but you turned out to be a traitor in disguise of a classic movies fan, when you are a corny movie enthusiast." He said shaking his head
"On the contraire, juggy, I love classics, but i do enjoy watching other movies from time to time. You should learn to do that. Yoy can't just be ine dimensional" veronica said
Jughead looked at her and commented"what's wrong in being one dimensional?"
"Ah so you agree you're one dimensional?" Veronica said while smirking
Jughead looked at her with wide eyes "you-" he was cut by betty interrupting,
"Guys! Enough! I'm here to you know? As much as i enjoy seeing you two banter, i also would like to start the movie" betty said amused at the two of them
Jughead just threw a cushion at veronica and sat straight. Veronica laughed while picking up the cushion and placing it on the floor. "Well start the movie then Betts" she said while placing her head on jughead's shoulders.
She could feel him tense for a moment, where she thought she should retreat but as soon as she was about to move, jughead placed his arm around her and snuggled her closer to him.
She smiled and got comfortable and silently watched the movie. Jughead on other hand was nervous on having veronica so close to him. Ever since he admitted to himself that he likes her, everything she does has him hyper aware. He finds every little thing she does enduring. And having her so close to him, where he could literally smell her rose perfume, it was doing a number on his mind. Its like all his senses were on high alert. But at the same time, there was no place he would rather be. He was nervous but he couldn't deny how much he loved having her so close to him like this.
But at the same time he was afraid. Afraid that maybe what he feels is one sided. And that brought him a new wave of sadness in his heart. So he had decided not to confess right now. He has to make Veronica fall in love with him. He had to woo her, essentially. And jughead hasn't backed down from any challenge in his life, and he won't now. He knows what he wants to do.
