Veronica stayed in her room all day thinking about what happened. She realised that she had sounded too outfront and that she nay have gone a little overboard. It was too soon to tell him. She should have waited. I can't change anything now she thought
She got up to get ready for Cheryl's party, she sighed who throws a party on a weekday? She thought and this was Cheryl's party. There's no question of not going. She mentally groaned. She was so not in the mood.
As she made her way to Thornhill, Cheryl's home, she only thought about ways to make up to jughead. Food. That's the best way. She thought. But then she thought what if he thinks I am giving him pity food? She shook her head. She didn't know how to make it up to someone. She's never done it. She looked ahead to see that she's arrived at Cheryl's.
She straightened her dress and then finally rang the bell. Cheryl opened the door and smiled devilishly "come in, madame lodge. Its so kind of you to grace your presence in my humble abode"
Veronica smiled "how could I not come, when you invited me personally?" She said with a hint of suspicion.
Cheryl laughed as Veronica entered and looked around for familiar faces. She saw betty with a strawberry milkshake sitting on the sofa, looking at someone. She followed her gaze and saw her staring at Archie, who was by the bar chatting with Reggie and Moose. Veronica smiled. Typical betty. She thought. As she looked around and was surprised to see jughead also present lurking in a corner with a scowl on his face as soon he saw her. Ah so he's still upset. She thought.
She was about to head towards jughead when Cheryl stopped her. " Where are you going?"
"To my friend" Veronica said
"Too bad. Its time for a game." Cheryl said smirking
Veronica sighed and looked behind cheryl to see that jughead has already vanished somewhere amongst the crowd. "Fine. Which game?"
Cheryl clapped and gathered everyone in the room "hush everyone. Its getting pretty boring here right? Well not anymore" Cheryl said as Veronica made her way to sit beside betty.
"Betty" Veronica greeted her with a smile
Betty smiled back "you're here too huh? I think she's upto something"
"No doubt about that. Leave her be. Tell me. When will you tell archie you like him?" Veronica asked betty
"You know?" Betty said embarrassed
"B. Everyone knows, except Archie, who is surprisingly thick headed." Veronica said smiling
Betty sighed "I don't know, i sometimes think that I'm over my head with this archie thing. What if he doesn't like me?"
"Then he's an idiot betty! Look at you, you're a total smokeshow! He would be so lucky to have you in his life" Veronica said and saw betty blush "really?" Veronica smiled at Betty's cuteness.
She was about to answer when Cheryl completed "seven minutes in heaven!" Veronica looked at Cheryl having realised she had blocked cheryl out.
"We're playing seven minutes in heaven" Veronica said as she groaned. This game is known for creating chaos and rifts between people.
Betty nodded " i wonder what is she upto"
Veronica said "not something good" as she looked around and finally found jughead.
He wasn't looking at her but at betty and for that instant she felt like she could tell what he was thinking. He wanted to go in the closet with betty. That irked Veronica for some reason.
