"Betty what are you doing here?" Archie said angrily
He then looked at veronica, who was surprised to see Betty in front of her.
"I told you to come alone" archie said to Veronica
"Why? So you could hit her? Try to harass her into doing things your way?" Betty exclaimed standing in front of Veronica.
Betty laughed. "I was such a fool. You were right. I was a lovesick fool. I was naive. But guess what Archie Andrews, the Betty you used to know and the Betty standing in front of you are two different versions of the same girl. I'm not going to follow you around, I'm not going to help you and I'm not going to be hour friend anymore."
Archie looked at her and scoffed "just what did veronica tell you betty? Let me tell you, don't trust her. She's not your friend"
"Oh yeah? So who's my friend? You? Don't make me laugh. I thought of you as a friend. Before i knew this side of you" betty said
"And let me get this straight, veronica hasn't said 1 bad thing about you to me. I'm ignoring you? I'm avoiding you, its because of you. Not her. I'm not a baby, who will just listen to everyone or who is in need of a guidance." Betty cleared out
Archie laughed "really? You've been following around me like a lost puppy whole of my life, couldn't listen to anything against me, loved me and you're saying you changed just in a few weeks? Please. Betty, you're only fooling yourself. Give it a few days, you'll be coming behind me, like a lost dog you are"
Betty had tears in her eyes while looking at him, hearing him saying all the nasty things she never expected him to say. Veronica on the other hand couldn't hear anything more against betty and took a step forward holding Betty's hand and squeezing it. Hoping she'd realise that she's not alone here.
"What the hell is wrong with you Archie? You have no right to speak shit about betty" Veronica said fuming
"No, V, he's right. I used to do all that, before you came, don't you remember?" Betty said with a small voice
Archie smirked. Veronica glared at him and then looked at Betty and said "you loved him B. People tend to so stupid things in love. And you were only helping him, protecting him from outsiders. It was a really good thing to do. How would you have known about him being a douche, who was only using you? And B, without me telling you, you were ignoring him, that means you're a strong person and you don't need people like him in your life, who only pretend to be a nice person. You have me and jughead on your side. So don't worry okay? We'll not let you get hurt by him anymore"
Betty nodded while looking down. Archie who heard everything just Clapped.
"Ah! Looking at this is making me emotional" he said with a smirk
"Too bad i don't do emotions" he snarled as he took a step towards them. But before he could do something, the door was harshly opened with jughead entering and claiming "betty, you told me to come-" he looked at them and then noticed archie and questioned "what is he doing here?"
"Oh look! The third musketeer is here" archie said
Jughead glared at him and then looked at betty who had tears on her face. He got angry thinking that Archie had hurt her.
"What did you say to Betty?" Jughead said to Archie taking steps closer to him.
Veronica went ahead and stopped jughead. "Lets just go jughead. I think we've had enough of archie."
Jughead nodded stifly. He went to Betty and put his arm around her and guided her out.
Veronica was about to follow them before she turned to Archie and warned him"Stay away from Betty. Otherwise the consequences won't be good" and walked away.
At first she didn't follow them. She went to the washroom and washed her face. Thinking about what had happened.
The way Archie is behaving is wrong. Its not normal. She couldn't help but wonder what happened.
She took out her phone and called Mr. Andrews.
He picked up after 3 rings.
"Hello? Who is this?" He questioned
"Mr. Andrews? This is veronica. Hermione's daughter" she answered
"Oh, Veronica, is everything alright? Why did you call?" He asked
"I'm afraid not Mr. Andrews. It's about Archie" she said.
He sighed. "What did he do now?"
"Is it okay if I drop by your house after school when he has football practice? I think it would be better if we talked face to face" veronica said
"Yeah okay. Veronica. Come by my house. And we'll talk. And veronica?" He said
"Yes?" She asked
"Thank you for informing me about him. I've been worried about him from the past few weeks" he said
She smiled. "Please don't thank me Mr. Andrews. You still don't know what i wanted to talk about"
"No, i think i do. But I'll see you okay? Now go to your class young lady" he said as he chuckled
Veronica laughed" yes, Mr Andrews. I will"
As she went out to look for betty and jughead, she found them in Blue and gold office. Betty was much better now.
"V, where were you? Do you know how worried i was about you? I was about to send jughead after you!" Betty said as she came to her and hugged her.
Veronica smiled "B i can take care of myself"
Betty scoffed "yeah like when i had to step in otherwise he would have hit you"
"Hush, B. That was a moment of weakness. Never again" veronica said smiling as shrugged it off.
Jughead who heard betty was shocked and angry at what he heard.
"He was about to hurt you Celia?" He questioned her with dark eyes.
"Uh.… Yeah, but i pushed him too. And betty saved me. So don't worry" she said
"I should kill him" jughead said shaking in anger
Veronica went to him and hugged him. Trying to calm him down "it's okay. I'm okay"
Jughead took deep breaths and then hugged her back calming down.
"Why were you there anyway?" Jughead questioned both the girls.
They told him everything and jughead scoffed at veronica.
"So you're going to meet anyone, no matter how suspicious the message sounds, just because you were curious? Do you even understand if betty hadn't followed you, something much worse could have happened?" He said to Veronica scolding her
Veronica looked sheepish. She knew she messed up. It was stupid of her to go and meet him. She understands that now. "sorry Jug. I won't do that again. Lesson learnt"
Jughead nodded.
Veronica turned to betty and said " B. We're going to talk to Mr Andrews today after school okay?"
She nodded " yeah, his behaviour is getting out of hand"
