Chapter 3

He also reminded us to enjoy ourselves.

"How's your thorough inspection, Da? Care to report now?" aniya habang tinutuyo ang kamay sa towel.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" I asked her and raised a brow.

"Sige na, Da. I'm waiting."

Naiiling akong tumawa. "As I have said, he's handsome. Kahawig niya si Jaehyun," sabi ko.

"Wait," anito at umayos ng upo. "Does that mean tinitigan mo siya talaga? In order for you to figure out that hawig sila, you must have looked at his face for a long time."

Umiling ako. "I figured it out the first time I laid my eyes on him."

"That you like him?" pabirong sabi nito.

"No," sabi ko at tumawa. "That they look the same, but not quite."

"Alam mo, Da, I think he's single. It's been years since I saw him with a girl," aniya ng nangingiti.

"And what does that have to do with me? Bakit mo iyan sinasabi sa akin?"

Nagkibit-balikat siya. "Nothing, sinasabi ko lang," aniya at humagikhik.

Napailing na lang ako. "Shouldn't you be asking me if how he is as an individual?"

"Well, the two of you just met and I doubt that you had enough time to get to know him."

She's got a point. But sometimes, time can't justify how well you know a person. Even among family members, parents don't really know who their children are. Sometimes, meeting a person once is enough to find out who they really are. I'm not saying that I and her cousin have the same case. I just have a great feeling that he had shown me the real him during that small amount of time.

"He's a good person, Aryela. He's got a nice personality," sabi ko at ngumiti.

"I agree with you," aniya.

Napatawa na lang ako.

"Okay then, I'll ligo first, Da.

We have already finished setting up the table and our snacks as well as the television and movie player. Nakaligo na rin ako. Yela and I are in our favorite pajamas. We're matchy-matchy.

"You got your pillow na?" Bumaling si Yela sa akin. Tumango ako. "I'm playing it na," aniya.

"Gora," sabi ko at niyakap ang unan.

Yela played the movie and the television flashed an old mansion with a spooky background music. We're watching a horror film.

The level of freight the movie is serving is on the average. Nakukuha sa panggugulat at sound effects. We were also busy snacking so the spookiness of the movie is lessened.

'Miko?' I really sound disrespectful.
