Husband? Hindi man lang muna boyfriend ang ginamit na excuse? And why did he involve himself in my affair? Napasubo pa tuloy ako.

"I can take you out to dinner, can't I?"

I just agreed since he helped me get rid of that jerk. I can handle it but he just had to butt it. Mas okay na rin siguro iyon. At least ngayon titigil na siya. Pagbantaan ba naman ng asawa ko. Uhm, kuno.

"Leave my wife alone or I'll design your own coffin. I'm an architect by the way. I don't do coffin designs but I will make an exception for you. It's a great offer but I hope you'll never take it." That was what he said in the most intimidating tone possible.

Pero hindi ko mapigilan ang tawa sa tuwing naaalala ko ang sinabi niya. Saan naman niya pinagkukuha ang ganoong linya? It was so hilarious.

"It's embarassing but I'm glad it made you laugh. Do you feel better now?" aniya. Binalingan niya ako ng tingin.

I supressed my laughter and cleared my throat. "Eyes on the road, please. I still want to live," sabi ko.

"Oh, sorry." Ibinalik niya ang tingin sa kalsada.

Tumikhim ulit ako para pigilan ang sarili sa pagtawa. "Okay naman ako," sabi ko. "Pero salamat ha, pinatawa talaga ako ng sinabi mo." Hindi ko mapigilan ang pagngiti.

"You're welcome," aniya ng nakangisi.

"Nanonood ka ba ng Korean drama?" tanong ko at tumawa.

I leaned back and watched him drive. Hindi ko mapigilang i-imagine na si Jaehyun ang kasama ko sa sasakyan.

"Hmm?" He glanced at me. He shook his head. "Do I look like one?"

"Nope," I pressed my lips. "But you resembles Jaehyun's eyes."

"Do you like him?"

"Uh, yes," I said.

"Then, do you like me too?"

"Yes," I replied.

"Really?" He was grinning ear to ear.

Bakit ganyan ang reaksyon niya?

"As a person. I like your personality. I like you as a friend."

"What do I do? I don't want you to like me as a friend."

"Huh?"

"Saan mo gustong kumain?"

He swifly changed the subject. I want to know what he meant by that but I was also afraid at the same time. I was left with no choice but to just let go of it.

"Ah, sa MCDO na lang," sabi ko.

"Sure ka?"

Tumango ako. "Anywhere's fine."

"Okay," aniya. His smile was so wide, he didn't even try to hide it.

'What made him so happy for him to smile like that?'

"Uhm..." Pinasadahan ko ng tingin ang menu sa taas ng counter. "One piece chicken, spaghetti, fries, coke, and sundae," ani ko sabay kuha ng wallet sa bag.

"I'll pay for it, please. After all, it's me who invited you to eat with me," ani Miko sa tabi ko sabay pigil sa kamay ko. Nag-angat ako ng tingin at sinalubong ang mga mata niyang nagmamakaawa.
