Morgan walked confidently through the glass doors of NCIS, letting a worker in just behind her, the man nodded in thanks before she carried on walking towards the reception desk to sign herself in. "Hello, do you have an appointment?" the woman behind the desk asked as she began typing on a laptop and looked up again to meet Morgan's eyes, her glasses slipping down her nose a little before she pushed them back up and moved her ginger fringe out of her face "urm no.. I'm the new probation agent" Morgan said fiddling with her hands as she cracked her knuckles, a nervous tic she has. "oh ok, great to see you here, I am Shelia Jones, pleasure to meet you" she stuck her hand out for Morgan to shake, her bright red nail polish on her slightly pale soft skin shouldn't perceive you "Woah- strong grip miss" Shelia joked "I was about to say the same with you. Anyway, what's your name sweetheart? You look like a McGee to me" "Yeah.. I'm Morgan how did you-" Shelia gasped "Morgan? sorry I urm.. haven't seen you in years I used to work with your dad quite a lot and I used to come over as well I doubt you would remember that you were so young" she came round the desk and hugged Morgan gratefully, that grasp was very nostalgic and familiar, maybe Morgan did know the woman better than she thought "She's with me Jones" Gibbs came out of nowhere holding a file with her information "there's meant to be 1 more on your team-"
"Uncle Gibbs!!" Morgan shouted and hugged him tightly around the waist as a few people clapped around the reunited family, even though she was in her late 20s, every time she saw Gibbs she was transported back to her childhood and her playing in the basement with him building boats with her brother. "you signed in yet McMorgan?" he asked as he turned to Shelia "already done Gibbs" "McMorgan? Is that the best you got?" Morgan laughed raising an eyebrow "Anyway, Morgan it's time for you to meet your partner" Gibbs smiled "got it boss" Morgan smiled as she turned to Shelia who was signing someone else in "good luck McGee, say hello to your father when you got a chance" she said with a soft smile, Morgan nodded and followed her boss to the infamous lift and both got in.
They let the lift go up a few floors and Morgan saw the button, the emergency stop button or what was known in the McGee household, as the Gibbs' your-in-trouble button. She pushed it, the lights in the lift turned off she stood back "Talk McGee" Gibbs said knowing the reason she stopped the lift "have you heard from Tony recently?" She asked not even looking up, Gibbs didn't respond and just pushed the button for the lift to continue upwards and opened on the squadroom floor. Morgan walked out alongside Gibbs but didnt say anything, just looking around, she instantly recognised Gibbs team. Eleanor Bishop, who looked slightly older than she remembered wearing her usual mid blue Jean's with a t shirt and a blazer "hey boss- Morgan?" Bishop came over to them and gave Morgan a light hug before turning to Gibbs "dead marine in Norfolk me and Torres are gonna take care of it" "Go, you got it, I'll meet you there just send me the address" Bishop nodded before going off to Torres and grabbing her bag, Torres waved at Morhan "Hey Mini McGee you alright? Catch up later yeah? Got a case" Torres smiled as he headed out into the lift. "I'm guessing were not going" Morgan turned to Gibbs "no, we got a cold case for you and your partner to take care of" Morgan sighed, she was hoping for a little more action on her aptitude test as she headed up to the directors office which had the familiar name of Leon Vance on it. "Just knock, I'll see you later" Gibbs kissed Morgans forehead as he headed down the steps, Morgan took a deep breath before opening the door.
Let's just say she did not expect the person in front of her...
