I walked down to Alys dorm and was nervous as hell. What do I say first? The elevator reached her floor and I stepped out. I stood down the hallway for a minute. Then I looked down both sides of the hallway and took a deep breath. I made my way towards her room. I raised my hand to knock then lowered it again. Why was I so nervous? Maybe this is actually the first girl I've ever felt like I loved her...

I knocked on the door and she answered it. "Oh hey! One minute I'll go grab my jacket." She walked back in and I heard someone scream from her room. "Is that Kyrie Irving?" "Yes , please don't ruin this for me." What? Did I just hear her say that to? Maybe she is interested in me? Should I make my big move tonight? All these questions flooded my head.

"I must meet him." The strange voice said. "Shannon no!" Then Aly ran out of the door and slammed. "I'm sorry she is just a big fan." "It's cool." Aly looked really pretty in her bright purple north face and her dark brown hair was curled. I had never seen her hair down before.

As we made our way to my car she smiled the whole way there. I opened the door for her and she got in. "Oh my gosh. This is your car?" She said looking around curiously. "Yep. Do you like it?" She turned and looked at me. "Like it? I love it!"

*30 minutes later*

We arrived at the arena and the look on her face was priceless. She was amazed by down town Charlotte. It's like she had never seen anything like it before. I pulled into the parking garage and got out of the car first. I took a deep breath and whispered, "Please don't mess this up ky." Then I opened her door. She stepped out and I said, "Are those Jordan's?" "Yep there old though." I looked in amazement. "Those are one of the hardest pairs to find." "Really? I just got them for my birthday last year." Then the perfect idea popped into my head. "That's one thing I don't know about you. When is your birthday?" "March 2" she said with a big smile. That's coming up. I need to get her the best present ever, I thought to myself.

As we walked into the arena we were one of the first ones there. "Oh perfect we are early! Maybe you can give me a little tour future nba player." I winked at her then we both laughed. I gave her a little tour even though I hadn't been in the arena many times but luckily knee my way around.

As it became game time all we talked about was basketball. It was nice having a girl to talk to about sports and not drama or problems. The bell rang for game time and we stood up out of our seats.

The bell rang for the first quarter and the score was tied 34-34. She wouldn't stop talking about the game and I found it the cutest thing. She got into it. She would stand up and tell them to move, yell ohhh when someone would hit an amazing shot, and tell me what some players did wrong. "This has been one of the best experiences of my life." Then, she stared at me and I stared at her. But before I could do or say anything she leaned back into her seat.

The second quarter began. The Bobcats were taking over and the game almost became boring. With 1 minute left in the quarter Aly laid her head on my shoulder. I kinda of wanted to stand of and yell, "Hell yeah! I got her she is mine!" But I didn't because I didn't even have her yet. It could've just been a friendly head rest.

*20 minutes left in the game*

Aly had rested her head back on my shoulder again and we were watching the billboard. It was one of those funny segments called kiss cam. We were laughing at all the couples until...

The screen had me and Aly on it. The announcer said, "Hey everyone it's duke university's own Kyrie Irving and his new girlfriend." Aly immediately sat up and we both looked at each other. She had a frightened look on her face. But this thing came over me and I leaned in and kissed her.

She never stopped, I was the one to. She leaned back smiling. They finally took us off the billboard and Aly set her head back on my shoulder. I lifted up my arm and put it around her. "Was that just for the cameras?" She asked while watching the game. "No. Not at all." Then I felt her smile.
