*5 days later*

It was finally the day I was aloud to come out of the hospital. I called Aly and asked if she could come pick me up. Luckily, she was delighted to and rushed over. I clicked on the tv and watched espn for a little bit. "What a week for Mr. Kyrie Irving." The announcer said. I immediately wanted to prop myself but it was to difficult. "Indeed. He broke his leg, John!" Another announcer said with amazement. "Don't forget about that new girl friend." They joked. Then Aly walked in. "Good morning handsome." She said with a smile on her face. She came over and kissed me on the forehead. "Look at this! I'm not sure if I should be offended or..." She stared at the tv and they were talking about him. "Oh babe they just need something to talk about. They sit there all day. Sometimes they run out of topics and just pick random new ones. I'm pretty sure it's nothing against you." She stared at me and I stared at the tv. "Don't be mad." She said with a sweet smile. "Don't you guys wonder if like that kid that took out Kyrie dated his new girl friend?" We immediately both looked at each other. Then I punched my fist on the table next to me. "Okay that's enough of that." Aly said while clicking off the tv.

The nurses put me in a wheel chair and took me out to the car. Aly pulled over her car and they lifted me into the front seat. Then we drove off to the campus.

*next day*

I woke up and struggled to get ready. It was Aly's birthday today and I got her the best birthday present. I wanted to give it to her immediately but I had trouble getting around in my wheelchair by myself. So, I called her. "Morning birthday girl!" She didn't say anything for about 10 seconds. "Oh I even forgot my birthday! Thanks baby." "I have to give you your birthday present." Then she got up immediately. "I'll be down in 5 minutes. Love you." Then she hung up. I grabbed the envelope and set it on my desk. I tried to make an effort to clean my room but it didn't look all that different.

I heard a knock on the door and yelled, "Come in." It was Michael. "Hey. I was-" I rudely interrupted him though. "Hey can you come back later I'm giving Aly her birthday present." He lifted up his eyebrows and said, "Ooh, so you guys are-" I immediately stopped him. "No! I'll tell you later. Now go!" I said as I rolled my wheel chair over towards him. "Damn man." "Micheal you know I don't mean it rudely." He rolled his eyes then smiled. "Ight see ya later." Then he turned around and closed the door.

Finally Aly texted me that she was on her way. I put away the mini basketball away and made sure I still had the envelope. She knocked on the door and then opened the door. "There is my birthday girl." She smiled and came over to give me a kiss. Then I pulled out the envelope from behind me. She took it with the biggest smile on her face. She opened it and yelled, "Omg ky you did not!" "But I did!" Then I winked at her. "I can't believe we are going to..."
