*day of flight*

I packed up my things and was ready to go. Aly had called me earlier telling me she would be over around 8. Our flight leaves at noon and I was so excited! I look over at my desk to see my phone buzzing around the table. I wheeled over to pick it up. "Hey I'm not going to Hawaii. But tell the team that I'm there in spirit and I'm supporting from far away." My jaw dropped. "M-Michael you have to go! The team needs you. They don't have me." I heard him take a deep breath. "I'm staying behind. That's final." A loud sigh came out of me. "I'm sor-" "Why?" I rudely interrupted him. "What do you mean?" "There is a reason why you aren't going. And it better be good because I can't think of one reason why you would pass this up." It was almost like I could feel him roll his eyes. "Kyrie I'm n-" "No! What's wrong." I wasn't backing down I needed to know what happened. We are best friends and I feel I have the right to know what's going on. "Julia. She's what wrong she lied right to my face." What? She was standing in his way? "Are you serious Mike?" I commented with concern. "And it's school and my family. I'm failing and my mom just got in the hospital." He explained. "Mike I-I'm so sorry. You need to be there for your mom. And I can help you with school. We can get you a tutor. Also, you broke up with Julia right?" "I can't..." He exclaimed. "Well you have to handle her bro. She cheated and you know what's right." I checked the time and Aly would be here soon. "Ight I have to go I'll call you when we land. And I want to here about that brake up with Julia. Got it?" He chuckled. "Got it. Stay safe my brother." I nodded even though he couldn't see me. Then he hung up and I heard a knock on the door. Aly raced in with a huge smile on her face. "Aloha!" She screamed as she grabbed my luggage. "Let's get the hell out of here." I yelled as we both headed for the car.

On our way there I explained to her what had happened with Michael. "Well my freaky roommate, Shannon, is super smart and might be able to tutor him." I nodded sounding interested. "She also needs a boyfriend so maybe they will fall in love or something." I shrugged my shoulders. My stomach was turning inside and out because I hadn't been on a plane in forever. Aly was talking for a while and I never really responded with words. She finally noticed that something was wrong. "Awh baby what wrong." She asked with a pouty face. "Nothing." I said laughing.

We finally arrived at the airport. When we walked in there were two lines. One for handicapped and one regular. I told Aly that I would go with her but she insisted that I go in the easier line for me. "Don't worry I'll met you on the other side." She joked pecking at my lips. I rolled into line and waited for what seemed like forever.

As I got out I waited for Aly. Then all the sudden a police man asked if I needed any help. "No sir but thanks for asking." I commented politely. "Ah the least I can do is help out a star basketball player." Then he took my bags and the handles on my wheel chair and pushed me to gate c3. What the hell was he doing? Did he not hear me say no thanks? I kept looking over my shoulder hoping to see Aly. There was no sign of her. I wonder where she could be?

I got to the gate and thanked the officer. I was about to text Aly when they started calling the numbers for seats. She'll be here. I kept telling myself. When they called my row I was a little worried. I didn't go and decided to wait for Aly. They eventually went through all the numbers and I was forced to get on the plane. I sat there wondering where she could be.

The plane was taking off and I was freaking out. Where is she? Is my baby okay? Then I heard the pilot announce, "Hello everyone this is your pilot speaking. Please fasten your seatbelt a because we will be taking off any minute. Next stop Canada!" Shit.
