Chapter 3: The Nightmare Begins

Liebe P.O.V. :

The nightmare begins without any warning and took all away in an instant... It started with a  fine day mom and big brother (Asta being the older brother, I know Asta being a big brother is weird but I want it) doing house chores as usual. Mom asked me to help her to do laundry and she asked big brother to collect some food for dinner.

After big brother went out, we did the laundry and hang the clothes. I asked mom about is being a devil mean being a bad guy, "Just because somebody is a devil doesn't necessarily mean he's a bad guy! After all, you aren't a bad guy!" she replied. "... I ..." I wanted to reply mom but I suddenly stop speaking and I can't move my body... I'm yelling in pain because my head starting to hurt.

"What's wrong?" asked mom  Suddenly there's a smoke appears an my left side and the smoke is forming a shape of a highest  ranking devil. I can't control myself and started to talk in a deep and devilish voice "I... am... Lucifero. Who would have believe a devil would be in the human world without making a contract with a human... I'm glad I killed time by looking for him!" I found out my body isn't listening to me...                                                                                                                 

"What a find! I'll use him to search for a way to manifest my own body in the human wo-" said Lucifero and he suddenly stop talking. Mom hold him and screaming "Who do you thing you are! Get out and get away from Liebe!" "Foolish hooman (Yes Lucifero, she is your hooman. JK). Even if I'm nearly powerless here, a nobody like you could never..." Lucifero realized mom is absorbing his mana and he manage to control my left hand. "Insolent wretch..." said Lucifero while he is lifting my left hand to prepare to attack mom. "No... D... Don't..." I'm trying to stop the high ranking devil, "I'm not letting him go" said mom.

Lucifero use my left hand and stab mom, I'm shocked. "... THIS BOY IS NOT YOURS!" mom shouted and somehow she is able to force Lucifero out from me. "Inconceivable...thwarted by a human? But I can interfere with a lowly devil from anywhere, I will return.... Hahahaha...." said Lucifero while he disappearing and he laughed before leaving the overworld.

"Mom?" I ask while I'm shivered with fear. "I'm sorry...I'm dumb, so... this is the only way I can think of... to protect you from that guy. I'll use my magic... to seal you into this grimoire...! By the time you emerge...I'm sure that you'll have grown up big and strong...! Live... Liebe...! my dear son...!" mom said that to me weakly, she took out the five leaf grimoire from the bottle. "Mom!!" I shouted before mom seals me into the five leaf grimoire...

*Before the stabby stabby happens...*

Asta P.O.V.: 

'I've collected the food that we are going to eat for dinner tonight! I'll help mom to look after Liebe!' I thought while I am walking home. Suddenly, I saw smoke floating to the sky and it looks like it's coming from our house. I sense something is not right so I ran as quick as I can back to our home. 

Next thing I saw is mom lying down on the ground and the five leaf grimoire is beside her. But I can't find Liebe anywhere, I search for Liebe again and again. But he is nowhere to be seen. I can't do anything when I was away, it's too late. I cried beside mom's lifeless body and the five leaf clover grimoire.

I cried until night time and I slowly losing consciousness due to starving. I thought my life is over, but when I open my eyes I saw a boy around my age who has black hair, a pair of amber eyes and a old man. I get up and asked "Where am I? Who am I?" I just realized I can't remember anything...

The same time when Asta lose his consciousness, a boy and a old man was walking past the forest and saw Asta fainted. They ran towards Asta and saw Asta lying beside his mom and the five leaf clover grimoire.

They brought Asta and the five leaf clover grimoire to a church at Hage village and help him clean up. The next day, the old man went to the grimoire tower to put the five leaf clover grimoire onto one of the bookshelf. After he came back from the grimoire tower, the boy and the old man went to check is Asta awake. When they went into the room they saw Asta open his eyes.

They are concern about Asta for not eating for the whole night (because they hear Asta's tummy growling) but they were surprised Asta asked "Where am I? Who am I?"...

What happened to Asta? Did he lost his memories? Or something else... And what happend to Liebe in the five leaf clover grimoire? Lichta is dead btw.

A/N: This is the story I wanted to write and I want to write other ppl as the mc of a BC fanfic let me see if I have enough time for that. If I can I might write Dreamwastaken as replace Asta in BC/  BC but it is a high school version. IDK just wish me good luck to manage my time.
