3 days till daddy comes home. Ross and I have been having much much more 'bonding' time together. Ross went out for a run while I was just cleaning up the house a bit. Suddenly, the doorbell rang. I put my duster on the counter, dusting myself off and walk over to the door opening it to reveal Hilary. I haven't seen her in a while.
"Hey Hil" I greet her with a smile.
She doesn't say anything and just walks in. I just stood there awkwardly and shut the door. She was pacing back and forth having a finger in her mouth looking nervous or something.
"What's up with you? You look like your dad whenever your mom's birthday is around the corner" I joke trying to enlighten the mood of this room.
It didn't work.
"Why haven't you been at school? You've been missing school for 4 days in a row Laura, that's not like you. I'm worried about you, I'm worried that R--" she stops herself.
I know what she's thinking, I just can't believe she thinks that.
"You think Ross is making me miss school, don't you?" I ask her in a bit of a harsh way.
She was blaming Ross when it was my own decision.
"Well I....." she pauses and sighs hanging her head down a bit. "Yes. I think Ross is influencing you into doing bad things" she admits to my face.
"What kind of bad things do you think Ross is influencing me?" I ask her again crossing my arms over my chest looking a bit mad at her.
"Making you miss school for example and... other things too"
Now it was time for me to crack.
"Like what? You mean robbing stores, vandalism and hurting innocent people? Is that what you think?!"
"I'm just looking out for you Laura"
"Well Ross is my protector, he can look out for me just fine thank you very much"
"I just don't trust him Laura, I'm sorry but I can't. At first maybe but now, ..... I'm not so sure"
I couldn't deal with her right now.
"Get out" I say.
"What?" she ask a bit shock.
"Get out. I can't deal with this right now"
"But La--"
"Get out! I can't believe you accuse me and Ross for doing those kind of things! Robbing stores!? Vandalism!? Hurting people?! You know I would never hurt a fly so why would I want to hurt human beings?! Why?!"
"I just don't trust him that much Laura" she argues back.
"Well if you don't trust Ross then you don't trust me. Ross and I may be two people but in our hearts we're conjoined into one. Now leave before I do something that I'll regret" I threaten her.
She just nods and walks out of the house shutting the door behind her. I sigh in frustration and run a hand through my hair. I walk over to the couch and lean against the back of it so I'm sitting on the floor having my knees close to my chest. I can't believe Hilary, you know a person and then once you date a guy they totally turn different to you. Wow.. . .
I was still sitting on the floor having my back lean against the back of the couch. I was hugging my knees to my chest and my head was buried in between my legs. I hear the door open.
"Hey Laur, I got you-- What's the matter?" he ask sounding worried.
I hear his footsteps quickly rush over to me and soon have his arm wrapped around me.
"What happened while I was gone?" he ask rubbing my forearm and kiss my forehead.
I took a deep breathe lifting my head up and face him. I explain everything to him.
"I'm sorry Laur. Maybe--" I cut him off.
If he's going to say that maybe Hilary was right, I'lll hit him.
"It's not your fault. The only fault you have is stealing my heart"
Ross smiles. "Well you did the same to me too" he says making my smile big.
"So what are we gonna do?" he ask.
"I just don't want to focus on Hilary now, I'm so done with her" I say.
"You can't say that Laur, she's your best friend"
"And you're the love of my life. I'm pretty sure I know who's side I'll be on"
"I know but she's been your best friend for a while"
"It doesn't matter. She should've been by my side no matter what"
"I guess but--"
"Ca.. Can we not talk about it please?" I ask.
"Sure"
Ross picks me up and brings us to the couch. I sit on his lap cuddling up to him as he wraps his strong arms around me.
"We'll fix things, I promise" Ross assure me.
I nod. "Okay" I say.
We kiss and watch movies together all day.
