Saturday came by so fast. Hilary had a sleepover last night and we're just talking in my room.
"Do you think Hunter will be there?" Hilary ask with hope in her eyes.
"Didn't you already have a fling with him?" I ask her.
"Well yeah but he's pretty dang hot" She confesses.
Eh, she ain't wrong.
"So, what are you gonna wear to the pool party?"
"Probably black or something"
"Ooh! Ross and you should match!" Hilary suggest squealing.
"Why? That's so stupid"
"So when you're in danger, he'll just ask 'do you know a girl who is wearing the same colour swim suit as me?' Easy!"
"News flash imbecile. There's probably gonna be other girls who are gonna be wearing the same colour bikini as me"
"Oh yeah......"
Yeah..... Hilary isn't the greatest in school, but she is good with life..... sort of.
"I bet Ross likes the idea"
"I highly doubt that"
"Oh yeah?" She challenges me.
"Bet ya $50 bucks" I bet.
"You are so on" We shook hands.
This'll be so easy to win.
"Ross!!!" I shout.
We heard glass shatter and then quick footsteps getting closer to my room and Ross barges in with a worried look on his face.
"What happened?!" he frantically ask.
"Don't get your panties in a twist. We're fine" I assure him.
"Oh thank god!" he sighs in relief, putting his hand over his chest.
"You had me so worried stupid!"
"Well I'm sorry but Hilary has an important question for you"
"If you're gonna ask me out then no"
"It's not that moron" I roll my eyes.
"Do you think it'll be helpful and cool if you and Laura wore matching bathing suits?" Hilary ask.
I'm so winning this bet.
"I think that's.... so stupid"
"Why than-- What?!" Hilary shouts out.
I laugh. "Pay up girl" I demand.
She grumbles and takes money out of her purse and gives me 50 smackaroons.
Ross chuckles. "Nice Laur"
"I know right. Easiest bet I ever won"
"Hey!" Hilary calls out.
"I'm just messing with ya Hil"
"Really?"
"No"
"Ugh, you're the worst"
"Love ya" I say smiling innocently.
"Well I'm gonna go for a run, if you don't mind"
"Go ahead, cya soon"
"Later" he says before walking out of my room.
"I gotta go to girl, mom wants me" Hilary says getting her things packed.
"Alright. I'll see you at the party" I say.
"Totally, later" She says before walking out of the house.
Well, I'm alone in this big house as usual. It just feels like who I was before, lonely and felt unloved and un-cared for. It's great to have Ross around but.... sometimes I just miss my parents.

. . .

The party is soon, I was getting dressed and I do not know what bikini I should wear. Ugh! I need help.
"ROSS!!!!"
Ross barges into my room with his swim trunks on already. Damn!
"WHAT!?" he ask worried.
"What bikini should I wear to the party?" I simply ask.
Ross just glares at me and pushes me, which made me laugh.
"Stop giving me heart attacks! My god!"
I laugh. "Just pick a bikini already!" I shout.
"The light blue, I think it makes your eyes pop" Ross compliments.
He realizes what he just said and his eyes widen. He stutters then walks out to his room. Awe. He's so cute when he gets panicky. What? What is up with me today? I shake it off and change into the light blue bikini putting my cover up on, which is just shorts and a lace shirt. I suddenly get a call.
"Hello?"
"Girl! Where are you?!" Hilary ask blasting my eardrums.
"I'm still at home but I'll be there soon" I reassure her.
"Just get here soon. You're missing out!"
"I'll be there soon. Bye" I hang up.
I grab my purse putting my phone and other things in, and walk out of my room walking downstairs.
"Ross! We're leaving!" I holler.
"Okay!" he replies coming down the stairs.

. . .

We walk in the backyard by the gate and see so many people there just busting their butts off! This party looks pretty cool. They had a bar too!
"Go loosen up a bit Ross" I tell him.
"Nah I'm--" I stop him.
"Go be a teen. Go mingle or something, just make sure you're having a fun time" I say with a smile on my face.
"No one wants to be friends with a criminal"
"Ross it was just a childhood trauma that you couldn't stop. Your dad caused them, not you"
"Yeah but he's not the one who robbed stores and almost killed people"
"Ross you're not that guy anymore, you're different now"
"Yeah, whatever"
"Go have fun Ross" I grab his wrist and pull him to the tiki bar.
"What can I get for you guys?" the bartender ask.
"Two margaritas please" I tell the bartender.
"Two margaritas coming right up" he says and starts getting our order.
"Laura, you're not eve--"
"I've drank before, not that bad"
"When?"
"Like last year"
"Why?"
"Having my dad be in jail and my mom leaving me, I had to drown those feelings out"
"Well I don't blame you. I did the same"
"Here you go" the bartender interrupts us giving us our drinks.
"Thanks" I say, and give him a tip.
Ross and I just stroll along the backyard just talking while drinking our alcohol. Ross and I were getting to know each other more. He told me his childhood and I told him mine. We were having a good time with each other's presence. Unfortunately, our time had to come to an end when some slutty girls started flirting with Ross. Ross didn't stop it and just talked to them, forgetting me. I don't know why but I felt anger flood through me. My heart was just beating hard and I had a weird feeling in my stomach. What's up with me? I shrug it off and walk around to find Hilary but couldn't find her. Ugh, she's probably being laid right now. Oh Hilary. I see Ross still talking to the girls. The girls made him laugh, making my stomach feel even worse. It's probably something from the drink, I should probably get home and rest. I walk to the car and just sit there taking in the pain clutching onto my stomach. I wonder if Ross minds if I take off. I'll just text him to hurry.

. . .

Ross gets here in no time and gets in.
"Are you alright?" he ask.
"I'm just having some stomach aches" I tell him. "But you can still enjoy the party if you want" I add.
He shook his head. "I don't want to be around those weird girls! Let's hit it" he says, turning on the radio.
I drive out of the neighborhood and drive us home. Why am I feeling this way?
