~ Narrator's POV ~
Dreams are something that we run towards, not the other way around. So, Elle and (Y/N) decided to do just that. They finished school and they were just working full-time jobs that got them by but make them happy. Elle and (Y/N) have been best friends since high school and surprisingly lasted to this day since they're complete opposites.
Currently (Y/N) is working at a nail salon and Elle is working at a wax bar, (Y/N) also has a side dancing business. She teaches little kids and teenagers how to dance every weekend. However, they both have other dreams - real ones - (Y/N) wants to be a dancer and Elle wants to be a stylist.
Fortunately, Elle and (Y/N) might get the chance to accomplish their dreams. You see, they're really into K-pop and they've been into it for a couple years now. K-pop is one of the reasons (Y/N) chose to be a double major in Spa Management and dancing. K-pop also gave Elle confidence in herself. Therefore, they plan to chase their dreams in Korea, where their courage comes from.
~ (Y/N)'s POV ~
After finding out that BigHit Entertainment were holding auditions for international back-up dancers and stylists, Elle and I took our chances. We had about just over a month to book flights, get a hotel and learn the basics of Korean to survive there. Our parents thought we were stupid and crazy, but we were paying for everything, and they couldn't stop us.
The whole month was busy. Going to work, practicing dancing, styling skills, and learning how to speak Korean. Without realizing it the month passed quicker than we thought. Next thing we know is we're flying to Korea and getting in our hotel. It's scary because we're still not good at the language, but we got our basics down at least.
When getting to the hotel we didn't leave, we were both jet lagged since (Home Country) and Korea are a (#) hour difference. We decided to stay in and since my dancing audition was tomorrow afternoon, it was best if I just stayed and practiced a little. Trying to get into the dancing mood, I wasn't paying attention to anything, and Elle just decided to study Korean. After a while it was getting late, so we decided to go to sleep. It's time to chase our dreams, I guess.
- The Next Morning -
It's my audition day... It's too fucking early. Ahhhugh. Fuck. Anyway, getting up early was the worst but I wanted to get my body ready. I went for a run and practiced freestyling to get my body warm.
Elle and I had breakfast inside the hotel, still not ready to go outside yet. "So how ya feeling?" Elle asked while we were eating, trying to ease the mood. "Fine. It's light." Replying, it was a cold response, but I was tired and just wanted to go back to sleep. Silence took over the room since we were just enjoying our food.
I wasn't that nervous because I've done this multiple times. "What about you? Tomorrow's your audition and you don't even know who you're working on." Looking at Elle, she tilted her head and looked up from her food thinking. "I'm nervous but I'm more scared of who's going to be there." Nodding at her, I could understand where she was coming from.
However, I know that these auditions are for BTS, and we're both likely to meet them. You see, BigHit announced that there were auditions for a group but never said anything about the group it was for. So, Elle has no idea who these auditions are for and if I told her she wouldn't be able to handle it. We continued to talk about different things, just waiting to leave for my audition.
