- The Mnet Countdown Day -

~ (Y/N)'s POV ~

I was sleeping peacefully and it was great, until my ankle decided it wanted to say 'fuck you'. I woke up with the highest level of pain that went through my ankle. Whipping up into a sitting position, I ripped the blanket off my legs and stared down at my ankle. The ice pack was useless now, but the swelling went down which made me a little relieved. Sighing deeply, I ran my fingers through my hair and closed my eyes again. All I could think about was how hard I worked for today and I keep telling myself to push through. Ignoring the pain, I grabbed my phone and saw it was 8am.

Groaning, I got out of bed and walked to the kitchen. Putting the ice pack back into the freezer, I walked into the washroom and did my normal routine. Once I was finished, I made my way to the kitchen, not feeling hungry I decided to just make some tea and create another ice bath in the sink. I stayed in the ice bath for about an hour, but it didn't really do much. My ankle was still swollen, and the colour didn't change. I just hope I'm going to survive Countdown.

Spending the last hour chilling and making sure I could walk so no one would notice, it was finally time to get ready. It was currently 10am and I just put on sweatpants and a hoodie, since I would change there. It was almost 11am and I decided it was probably best to eat something. I started making breakfast and I purposely made extra because I knew Elle would be coming over. Just on time, Elle walked into the dorm and sat at the table. "Good morning." Elle said, as she stuffed two pieces of bacon in her mouth.

I just turned my head to look at her and gave her a small nod. "How's your ankle?" Even though I knew she was going to ask that question, I still didn't want to talk about it. Rolling my eyes a little, I responded. "It's good, I guess. Probably could be worse." I shrugged my shoulders and continued cooking. "It is worse, dumbass." Elle mumbled softly, hoping I didn't hear which I did but didn't say anything. Elle was worried and I could tell but it doesn't change the fact that I will dance tonight.

When the clock hit 11:30am Elle, Stray Kids and I arrived at the location for Countdown. I left Elle and Stray Kids because there was a dressing room for the back-up dancers. I was currently wearing all black, just like all the other dancers. Since there wasn't much to do, we were all just talking and hanging out, waiting until we had to perform.

*~-~-~*

When it was finally time to perform, everyone got ready. Standing in our places, the music started. During the entire performance I could feel eyes on me and not just one pair but two. That's when I started paying attention to them, Chan, and Han. I made eye contact with them around 20 times during the whole performance and didn't know why. I was so confused and honestly it wasn't a comfortable experience. I spent most of the performance thinking about why they could've been staring... Then it clicked. I can't fucking believe Elle.

The moment Stray Kids' song ended, I bolted off stage and went straight to Stray Kids' dressing room. Anger was filling my whole body. Elle broke her promise, and it wasn't something she's done before, so let's just say trust was slowly disappearing. The moment I walked in, I went straight up to Elle and grabbed her wrist. Dragging her from the dressing room, I pulled her out into the hallway. "How the fuck could you tell Han and Chan about my ankle?" My voice was filled with so much anger, but I was trying to keep calm because I didn't want to make a scene.
