She hoped it would be like some cliche movie, and she'd wake up and the bed would be empty...but there he was laying on his stomach, messy waves of blonde hair in his face, eyes closed.
For once the boy looked peaceful. However, River didn't take a second glance before getting up and getting ready for work. The events of last night circled through her mind, making her dizzy.
After quietly getting ready she took one more glance at the boy before walking to her car. Guilt swam in the pit of her stomach while she drove to the small cafe in town that lay between figure 8 and the cut.

While she was wiping down tables and taking orders, JJ woke up to an empty bed and the smell of burnt toast. He felt hungover, but not on the alcohol he drank the night prior, he was hungover on her, the feeling she gave him.
"Good morning sleeping beauty." John b joked, taking a bite of the burnt toast.
"Where's River?" The words came out more like a groan than a sentence.
"Unlike you, the rest of the pogues get to work on time." He responded. JJ grabbed his phone, checking the time.
"Shit." He jumped up swiftly putting a shirt on and ran out the door.
"Dumbass." JB laughed.

She was good at distracting herself from everything besides work, he wasn't. That's exactly why the boy clocked out early to run downtown to the place River was. Of course, most heads turned his way when the boy ran through the cafe door, but hers stayed on the cashier focusing on her job.
"Riv..." Her hazel eyes met his blue orbs sending confusion through her mind, but not for long. River sighed, walking to her next table to clean up.
"Please."Another sigh left her lips but she looked up before speaking.
"It didn't happen, okay?" River didn't give the blonde time to respond before walking back to the kitchen, ignoring his presence following behind her.

"But it did." He laughed for a moment before being pulled into a small office.
"Are you trying to get me fired?!" She yell-whispered, running her hands through her brown hair.
"Just tell me you didn't like it and ill forget it happened." JJ watched closely as the girl twisted the rings on her fingers before responding.
"This conversation is pointless-" Her mind went blank. 
Her body filled with that feeling once again, his lips moving with hers, and for a moment she let her body melt into his. Heavy breaths, pressing her body closer to his, the slight moans leaving their joined lips, all for a few seconds before river pushed JJ away harshly.
"Stop fucking doing that." She said breathlessly before walking out of the small office and back to her job, but the boy stayed put for a moment or two, thinking of how much he wanted to ruin her, how much he loved that she wouldn't give in.

"Why are you here?" Pope asked as JJ walked through john b's door with a smile across his face. "Clocked out early, we should go out on the water, its been weeks." He threw his head back and continued to whine.
"We went like 4 days ago dumbfuck, but yeah if you can get the girls to come, sure." John b responded, sitting on the couch next to Pope.
"We could just wait till morning, River's off, and I can get kie to pick her up tomorrow." The brunette suggested.
"Sounds good to me." JJ spoke, tossing jb a beer with the same smile on his face as before.
