Sirius was sitting on his bed alone turning the black tube over in his fingers contemplating. He didn't know if he should or not. He did just run away a matter of months ago. This kind of thing would never be allowed at his house, but the fact was that he didn't live there anymore. Sighing he flopped down on to his bed on his back looking up at the top of the wood beams holding up the mattress. Sirius started drumming his fingers against the black tube and huffing in and out. After several minutes Sirius sat up, got off his bed, and walked towards the bathroom. Closing the bathroom door he leaned on the edge of the sink resting the back of his head on the mirror staring up at the ceiling. He quickly spun himself around looking at his reflection trying to see someone different than the one he has been seeing for years. Pulling the tube out of his back pocket he quietly popped off the lid. With a shaky hand he rested the joint of his thumb against the bottom of his eye and applies the dark black liquid to the crease. Flicking up his wrist he arched the wing of his eyeliner up to his brow bone and tried to do the same to the other. Looking at himself in the mirror, the eyeliner was uneven, but oh well. Smiling at himself in triumph he felt satisfied. He closed the cap, walked out shutting the door behind him, and bounded down the stairs. Jogging out into the common room he ran straight into Marlene McKinnon. Stumbling back a bit Sirius said

"Oh sorry I didn't- Oh! Marlene, there you are. What do you think?" turning his chin up so she could see the corners of his eye. Pretending to think by putting her hand on her chin and humming in concertation.

"I love it!" Marlene said in a cheery voice.

"I know I look amazing," Sirius said in a joking matter. Marlene replied with

"Don't get to caught up in yourself there." Laughing she walked away leaving Sirius beaming. Marlene turned around and added

"James, Peter, and Remus are in the great hall waiting for you." Sirius walked out of the portrait hole and quickly tapped his way down the moving stairs. On the way down He bumped into Snape. Accidentally turning the Slytherin boy around with his shoulder Sirius is met with a scoff,

"Watch where you going you-" suddenly he stopped. Sneering Snape said

"Looks like were wearing makeup now, aren't we. Doesn't surprise me, what does your parents think about having a faggot as a son." before Sirius could respond Snape continued

"Oh wait I forgot, you aren't their son anymore. " Laughing crudely he walks away leaving Sirius fuming. Sirius stood on the stairs for a minute close to tears, but he wasn't going to cry. He wouldn't give anyone that satisfaction. "Why did it even matter what my parents think" he thought to himself; but it did matter. Even if he spent years hating them for what they did he still so desperately wanted their approval. He walked down the stairs at a some what slower pace, with racing thoughts. He arrived at the great hall still upset and overthinking the conversation. Sitting down beside Remus silent, he started eating what was on the plates in front of him. Remus tilted his head somewhat to the side and asked

"Something wrong?"

"Nothing,"

"Ya there is"

"No there isn't"

"You have that look."

"I don't have a look"

"Yes you do. When you get upset you have a pout and it makes you look like a helpless puppy." Scowling Sirius looked up at him and stuck out his tongue, startling a laugh from Remus. He suddenly stopped and smirked

"What do we have here, oh my somethings different." Remus said talking as if he was trying to please a child, but Sirius was fine with it

"You like it moony?"

"Like what?"

"My eyeliner!"

"What eyeliner"

"Uh god Moony you're being such a tease" Laughing Moony said

"Its a little uneven but its alright." This earned a scrunched nose and a small shove from the Black boy.

"Well I think it looks great" James said from across the table

"Trying to be the favourite now James?" Asked Remus

"Yes I'm trying to replace you."

They both laughed and went back to what they were doing, James explaining how quidditch worked to Lily who pretended not to care but actually loved hearing him talk, Peter playing chess with Peeves who just kept slapping the pieces off the board, and Remus trying to finish his potions essay. This was the life Sirius had built for himself, and he was happy. Nothing, not even his crazed pureblood parents could take that away from him. These people were his family, and Sirius thanked the stars for it.

I keep saying this, but it was short and it sucked. Just really wanted to write a story about Sirius wearing eyeliner. I might do a Jegulus chapter later where Regulus wears eyeliner and gets James attention. Still working on more parts
