The question had came up from a normal conversation. Remus, James, Sirius, and Peter were all sitting on the floor of the boys Gryffindor dorm. Peter and Sirius were playing chess, as Sirius had bet Peter 5 galleons that he could beat him, (it was unlikely.) Remus was sitting with his back to his bed reading a muggle book by the name of Lord of The Rings, and James was spreading out The Marauders map trying to find the best place to pull a prank.

A sudden loud swear came from the Black boy at the same time a smile lit up the face of Peter as he said "checkmate." Sirius begrudgingly pulled the coins out of his pocket and handed it too Peter. With a sigh Sirius got up and sat beside Moony. Peter had pocketed the money and went to grab some of the muggle candy he had been harboring since he got back from Christmas break. It was a miracle it wasn't all gone by now. Now with nothing to distract him, Sirius had started to climb into Remus lap and beg for attention. He kept looking at him and sighing unnaturally loud, pointedly glancing at him, and looking over his shoulder at the words on the page of the book Remus was reading. After several minutes of Remus trying to ignore him, he gave in and pulled Sirius in between his legs. Running his hands through his long hair had shut up Sirius as he was content laying his head in his lap. Of course anyone else would have got slapped for touching his hair, but not Remus. This was universally known by anyone in the school. So when James reached over and tried to ruffle Sirius hair with his hands. The response he got was  Sirius glaring at him and saying in a tone with no heat to it

"If you touch my hair with your greasy ass fingers Prongs I'm going to bite them off." This received a laugh out of James and a smack of a book from Remus.

"Why did you hit me, he was the one who touched me!" Sirius had protested in return of the smack. Remus chuckled and said "don't be rude your hair isn't that important." A very dramatic gasp came from James, and Sirius. With a dramatic and offended huff he got up from Remus lap and sat next to James. He turned his back to Remus, looking over his shoulder with a scrunched up nose, turned back and pointedly ignored him by starting a conversation with James. With a roll of his eyes and a small smile, Remus went back to his book. After a while James and Sirius had settled into easy conversation. Some time had passed Peter was flipping through books finishing the Essay they had the next morning (which he knew Prongs and Padfoot had not even started) , Remus was still reading his book, and James and Sirius was laughing at something they had said. Suddenly Sirius had yelled over to Remus forgetting he was supposed to be "mad" at him.

"Oi, Moony! Is it normal for me to hallucinate every time I drink coffee?" That statement was met with a more than worried look from Remus. Snapping his head up quickly he had asked in a little more than concerned voice, forgetting Sirius didn't got to muggle doctors.

"No, you shouldn't be hallucinating. Are you okay, maybe you should go to the doctor?" Sirius had laughed and started to recall a memory something that had happened from the last time he had went to a doctor.

"I went to a muggle doctor once with James, remember that nurse who hated us because we knocked over a magazine stand!"

"Ya, but maybe you shouldn't go to another muggle doctor, you know what happened the last time."

"Those deaths had nothing to do with me." Sirius had said very pointedly. This earned a very concerned laugh from Remus and he answered with,

"Excuse me what? Please tell me your kidding," but when he looked up at the boys faces they looked 100% serious. After around of a full 30 seconds and a very concerned and worried Remus, the two boys burst into laughter.

"You should have seen your face."

"Oh my lord, Moony you actually believed that, that's hilarious." After a couple seconds of their laughter they had dissolved into seriousness. At the same time both of them went cold with no smile on their face and said very darkly,

"But seriously, don't tell anyone." He promised not too still not completely convinced that they were kidding and went back to reading. He smiled after James and Sirius relaxed and kept their lively jokes and conversation going. Remus looked up at the not yet full moon, and prayed they would never be broken apart. The blissful ignorance of the thought out statement would come back to haunt him on those lonely nights without his friends or his lover, but he didn't know that yet. So it was okay.

Hey so ya I know this sucked but I was in my feels and needed to write some happy Marauders stuff. I'm sorry about the end I can't stop myself from causing pain. My writing style is horrible and I have no intent in taking any of these seriously.
