today was the day you decided to confess to hitch. you know that she's been through some stuff. so you won't blame her if she doesn't accept your feelings. it's been a while since you and her had a decent conversation. considering how she was affected by marlo's death.

you were thinking of telling her when you both were alone together. so you would have some privacy, and it won't be embarrassing if she says no.

finally you both were alone while watching over annie. you broke the silence by saying,

"hey hitch ?"
"hm ?"
"are you- uhm. are you okay with dating ? you know since what happened to marlo."
"well, sure i guess. marlo being death hasn't changed me or anything, so-"

she looked at you while you were making a face signaling that she has changed.

"oh. i did ?"
"mhm."
"oh. well anyways, why're you asking ? any of your guy friends trying to ask me out ?"

she smirked at you. then she raised one of her eyebrows and crossed her arms. you gulped and made a nervous face.

"w-well. no."
"oh ? then who ?"
"actually, it's- ahem. me."
"you ?! y/n are you-"
"maybe."
"oh my god ! you like girls ?? since when ??"
"since i was 12."
"oh wow. uh i don't know what to say. me ??"
"uh huh. you."
"wait wait, when did this start ?"
"the day i met you.."

"aha yeah, gotta try something new. right ?"

"okay so when's the date ?"
"d-date ?"
"we have to go on a date, stupid."

she made a small giggle towards you. your face instantly turned pink.

"r-right ! sorry, i didn't think you would say yes."
"why wouldn't i ?"
"well, i didn't know if you liked girls or not."
"well, i don't mind dating girls. well do you wanna take me out tomorrow ? i'm free the whole day."
"m-mhm ! sure !"

you made a big smile to hitch and she smiled back. inside of you, you were screaming your lungs out. she actually said yes. but then you realized that you now have to think of where to take her, what to wear, and etc.

"hey hitch ?"
"yeah ?"
"you know, we don't have to-"
"nope. i'm going on that date with you."
"but you don't have to-"
"y/n, it's okay. i wanna go."

she smiled at me again and i made a smile back at her.
