From Kuya to Prince Charming

When it started to get complicated...

Shannah's POV

Andito kami ngayon ni kuya sa HQ, we were supposed to meet our tutees here, di kami matutuloy sa bahay nila kuya dahil may house meeting dun with his parents prospect clients. 

He is a bit finicky ngayon, si Monique pala ang nakatokang tutee niya ngayon. Kuya seemed pissed off about something though... he was busy reading his notes.

Naalala ko tuloy yung huli naming pinag-usapan ni Monique, she has been ignoring me for days at tinawagan na ako ng mom niya, I have to do this then, ang hirap naman nito, if it wasn't for that recommendations sa Prestige University di ako magtitiis na tratuhin ng ganito, kailangan ko ng recommendation ng mom ni Monique just to be accepted sa school na iyon since ang school na pagmamay-ari ng family ni Monique ang only affiliated high school institution nila here sa Manila and they don;t accept walk-in enrollees, recommended students lang from affiliated schoolsang tinatanggap nila. Matagal ko ng pangarap na matanggap dun,  it's an exclusive science school ran by Aussies, ang graduates ng school na iyon ay automatically hired sa biggest Chemistry Research Facility in the world ang Miscellaneous ipsum facilitatem, I always wanted to be a biochemist hired by this company, kakaunting tiis na lang and I'm another step closer in achieving this dream. 

A few months more Shan, kaya mo ito, bumuntong hininga ako at lumapit kay kuya...

"Kuya, could I ask a favor from you?" panimula ko.

Nilingon ako ni kuya, "What is it?" tanong  niya sa akin without looking at me, he was busy reviewing para sa tutorial session nila ni Monique mamaya.

"Could you go with Monique sa prom instead?" nasabi ko na rin omygee buhay pa ako, akala ko magkaka heart attack na ako sa sobrang bilis heart beat ko. 

"Why?" this time he looked at me, parang may konting hurt sa mga mata niya. 

"Kasi kuya..." bakit di ko magawang sabihin sa kanya, biglang umatras ang dila ko.

"She asked you to tell me that? Shan I don't understand why you have to put up with her" yun lang ang mahinang sabi ni kuya and he looked down his notes again.

"I said yes to Jerome kasi, I thought na it would be better if you go with Monique na lang kaysa magbaby sit sa akin" ano ba yan ang lame ng alibi ko. Pero in a way nag-aya naman talaga si Jerome, I guess I have to say yes to him na.

"So mas gusto mo si Jerome kasama mo? Fine kung gusto mo siya go ahead!" inis na sagot ni kuya then he went silent na. 

Pakiramdam ko nagalit si kuya, ano ba naman, I'll make it up to you na lang kuya. 

Bumalik na ako sa kinauupuan ko kanina we both were just silent, parang nagka gap kami bigla and I don't like the feeling. Dumating na si Jerome and Monique, tumabi na si Jerome sa akin I welcomed him with a smile.

"Ok let's start, do you have any assignments?" tanong ko kay Je and tumango lang siya

narinig kong nagtawanan sila kuya and Monique, lumingon kaming dalawa ni Je sa kanila, they seem to be having the time of their lives, may mga lingering touches pa nga si Monique sa hand ni kuya and he didn't mind at all. He never laughed with me that way...

"Are you ok?" nabigla ako sa tanong niya sa akin, he gently held my hand na nakalapag sa mesa ang gently squeezed it. 

"I'm ok Je, maybe just a bit tired" yun lang ang sabi ko sa kanya. 

"Hmmmn, ganun ba, come with me" hinila ako gently ni Je patayo.

"where are we going?" tanong ko sa kanya.

"Somewhere fun" yun lang ang sagot niya sa akin and winked, he opened the door for me, nakahawak pa rin siya sa kamay ko.

Nilingon ko si kuya, he didn't even look at me, his face was hidden under a book. 

Kharl's POV

Nakita kong tumayo si Je at Shan and went out, where are they going?

Bahala siya, she wanted to be with Jerome naman kaysa sa akin ano panlaban ko sa heartrob ng school namin.

Itinuon ko na lang ang pansin ko kay Monique, ok naman pala siya if pagbibigyan mo lang siya na maging friend. 

I guess I'll ask her as my date na lang sa prom, sure ako Shan would go out with Je.

"Monique, can I ask you something?" tanong ko sa kanya, she looked up, she is pretty mas maganda pa nga siya kay Shan eh, payat and yung tipong ipapasyal mo talaga sa mall if naging GF mo. 

"Yes Kharl?" sweet niyang tanong sa akin.

"Could you be my date sa prom?" walang ka amor amor ko na tanong ko sa kanya.

"Sure I'd love to" she answered with a smile then she touched my hand.

"kahit more than date pa, I'd love too, I'll do anything for you Kharl" she said that at ikinagulat ko naman, whoaaah ang agressive niya...

" Do you like me Monique?" I asked her.

"I do, I really do" she answered without blinking.

" Let's make a deal then, I'll be your boyfriend, pero wag mo ng pahirapan si Shan and you would make sure she would get your mom's recommendation para sa Prestige Universtiy" ewan kung bakit biglang sumagi sa isip ko ang ideyang yun.

" That's interesting, ok I'd agree to that, pero masyadong malaki ang hinihingi mo, I'll do that with one condition" maarte niyang sagot sa akin as she threw a flirty gaze on me. 

"What is it?" tanong ko sa kanya, I have a bad feeling about this.

"layuan mo siya, you two are to close it's threatening, do that and I'll bend to your conditions" sabi niya sa akin.

"Parang sinasabi mong I need to cut off my relations with her, that is impossible we are club members, di maiiwasan na may mga activities kami na together gagawin. Besides our familiies are close friends" paliwanag ko sa kanya.

"Fine, let us rephrase it then, club activities and family gatherings ka lang exempted, the rest lalo na sa school you will stay away from her and do your boyfie duties religiously" naiirita niyang sabi.

"I'll think about it" sagot ko sa kanya.

"I want an answer now" demanding niyang sabi, bratinella nga talaga siya. Kung anong kaganda ng mukha niya yun naman ang kapangit ng ugali niya.

'Fine!" inis kong sagot ko sa kanya.

"And one more thing, no one should know about this, or else... and make sure gagawin mo ang condtions ko fair and square" she winked after saying that. 

I rolled my eyes and nodded.

"So my dear boyfie, ayaw kong mag-aral let's go on a date" she stood up at hinila ako patayo.

"Could we just stay here na lang?" I asked her. Umupo siya ulit.

You got yourself into trouble Kharl, kung di lang talaga para kay Shan I wouldn't be doing this...

"Fine, yet I want a kiss" she sat beside me and slowly leaned closer to me...

Grabe ang girl na ito, walang delikadesa...

The door suddenly sprang opened before naregister ng utak ko kung sino ang pumasok, Monique grabbed m by the neck and sealed her lips with mine...

Dahan dahan niyang inilayo ang mukha niya sa akin, lumingon ako sa may pinto, I only saw her back as she was going out... Shan?
