Four days later
Cedric rolled over in his bed as he rose from his slumber. He yawned, stretched. He turned around and saw Merci and Blizzard laying on his floor, whimpering.
"What the hell-"
*knock knock*
"Oh what a way to start my morning." he mumbled, shoving his face into his pillow, "It's open!"
Pansy walked in and shut the door behind her, "Cedric." she said slowly, "Where's Adriana?"
Cedric sat up quickly and furrowed his brows, "What do you mean where's Adriana?" he rubbed his eye.
"That she's not in her fucking room!" Pansy stomped. "Look, come."
—
Cedric brushed his teeth before following Pansy to the girls side of the common room. Adriana's door being at the very end, they had to be quiet, trying not to wake up the rest of the girls. Pansy pushed Adriana's door open.
Nobody.
Her window was opened, some of her blades were gone, some of her clothes were gone. Her bed was a mess, like someone had taken her off it. And fought to stay here.
"Get off!" she yelled. The strange man chuckled and pulled Adriana off the bed by her legs, making her hit the hard floor. The mans eyes were pure black, he was much more powerful than Adriana.
Blood-shot or not.
Adriana's screams were then muffled as the man slapped his hand over her mouth.
"You're mother has been waiting for you.."
Merci and Blizzard came in the room and when they did, Cedric noticed something.
"Pansy," he tapped her arm, "They have blood on their mouths." he pointed out. Pansy turned around and looked at Adriana's pets, "Did they eat her?" she said.
"No- Pansy!" he groaned.
Pansy sighed and started to walk around Adriana's room, "She didn't leave anything here. Her windows were open, and also, check the bathroom."
"Why?"
"Because I don't know how to explain what the fuck I saw." she said bluntly, "Go on."
Cedric gulped and slowly walked towards the restroom door. He opened the door open and walked in, seeing a horrific sight. The mirror was broken, small glass pieces on the floor. Blood spurted onto the mirror, bloody footprints spread all across the floor.
And one of Adriana's blades, covering in what looked like black blood? What took her wasn't normal, not even close.
"Don't try to get out of this princess," the man grinned, gripping onto Adriana's shoulders, "It'll only get harder for you." Unexpectedly, he pushed her back hard into the mirror, causing it the break and for Adriana and scream in pain. She kicked him off her and opened up one of her bathroom drawers.
She pulled out a silver blade and stabbed it into the mans chest. He grunted and pushed Adriana back towards the mirror. Blood dripped down her back as she weakly stood up off the sink countertop.
Her feet hitting the glass beneath her. As soon as she hit the wood floor in her room, she fainted.
The last thing she remembers was the floor accelerating towards her face.
Then everything went black.
"Pansy?," Cedric started to speak as he walked out the bathroom, closing the door behind him. His heart dropped as soon as he walked in, picturing the whole situation in his head.
How could this go by for four days without anybody noticing?
Without him noticing?
"Do you know why she left?"
"No. I do not. She's a mysterious person really. I mean she's been here almost five months. And now she leaves without saying a word?" Pansy sighed, throwing herself on Adriana's bed, "Oh my god." her voice was muffled. She rolled herself over and looked up at the ceiling.
"Oh my god!"
Cedric grew confused as to what Pansy was yelling at. "Look!" she exclaimed, pointing at the ceiling. A folded piece of parchment, with an A on it was pinned to the ceiling. Pansy stood on Adriana's bed to reach the letter. Once she was successful, she got off Adriana's bed and stood in front of Cedric. Pansy cleared her throat and opened the note, reading it to herself first.
Deep inhale.
Deep exhale.
She then read the note aloud to Cedric ;
April 8th ~
I'm terribly sorry I had to leave on such a short notice.
My father, someone said he's gotten sick. I went back to the kingdom to see what was the issue really because
My father died a month ago.
So he can't possibly be sick.
I'll write to you as soon as I enter the castle.
Worst case scenario, it's my mother.
Love you,
A. LeClaire.
"When was that note written?" Cedric asked her. Pansy folded the note and put it in the pocket of her pants,
"Four days ago.." she shook her head in disbelief, "Basically the day after that fight, right? Between you and Draco then her and Draco— How could she just leave!?"
"And after four days, you're just now telling me?"
Pansy nodded and rubbed her hands over her face, "I thought she was just busy and not answering her door. But then I noticed how she stopped showing up to class. I heard whining coming from inside her room, it was Merci and Blizzard. I must have left her door opened once which explains why they were in your room." she explained, "We need to look for her. We need to find Adriana. I'm not letting her own damn mother kill her." Pansy shook her head and laughed sadisticly, "No. We will make that bitch pay."
—
Pansy and Cedric put on their robes and put on their uniforms. They grabbed their own wands and left Hogwarts and into Hogsmeade.
"Where should we check first?" Cedric asked. He didn't believe Adriana was in the kingdom, and now he's starting to think that she didn't even write that note. Because if she did, she would've at least left directions to the kingdom if anything were to happen.
Pansy shrugged and pointed to a small bookstore, "What if there's clues in there?"
"Then let's go."
