𝗕𝗥𝗨𝗜𝗦𝗘𝗦

The next morning

Adriana :

I woke up due to Cedric opening up my curtains, letting sunlight in my room. I groaned and pulled the blanket over my body.

"Morning baby." I heard him say. I hummed in response, too tired to say anything, to weak to move any more. I heard him walk around the room a bit longer before those foot steps disappeared. Confused, I took of the blanket from my upper body and sat up.

"Fuck." I winced. My body ached. I don't even know how to describe this damn pain. "Cedric?"

"Boo."

I slightly jumped at the voice before turning around. Cedric was behind me, hands on the headboard as he leaned forward to kiss me.

"Morning breath!" I shook my head, pressing my hand against his chest, "I have extra toothbrushes under the sink." I told him. He huffed in annoyance and walked towards the bathroom. I giggled softly and decided to get up.

I got off the bed and stood on me feet, walking over to my dresser, with a mirror attached. I opened one of the drawers and pulled out some socks, placing them on the dresser. I grabbed the bottom of my shirt, hesitant to pulling it up slightly.

Bruises.

Scattered everywhere.

I tried to forget the horrifying incident, the disgusting things that were said to me. My fingers trailed over the bruises, each and every one of them. And the scars. You could even see my ribs.

"Darling?"

I put my shirt back down and grabbed my socks, heading back to my bed. "Yeah?" I replied, slipping on my socks.

"What do you feel like eating?"

"Rocks motherfucker." I joked, walking over the the bathroom to brush my teeth. Cedric chuckled and watched me as I brushed my teeth. "You're so beautiful" he smiled.

I continued to brush my teeth, looking at him through the mirror. I scrunched up my nose before spitting out my toothpaste and rinsing my mouth. "What are you doing?" I asked Cedric as he went down on his knees.

"May I?" he asked, grabbing onto my shirt from the bottom. I nodded, confused, "Sure..?"

He lifted up my shirt and ran his hands along my body. Examining each bruise. Each scar. Suddenly, his arms wrapped around my lower body. He pulled me closer and placed his head on my abdomen. I inhaled deeply, exhaling. My hand ran through his hair. He seemed relaxed, really. He picked his head up and looked at me. His deep brown eyes. I smiled softly at him before he stood up, towering over me. Cedric leaned down and kissed me.

"I love you." he said, "No matter what."

Me and Cedric walked out of the room. I went to go wake up Pansy but she wasn't in the guest room, or any of them. Not the restrooms either. I walked to the kitchen and saw her flipping pancakes. I wasn't only shocked at that, the house was clean. The furniture was put back in place, broken plants were taken out and replaced, painting fixed on the walls again.

"When did you guys—"

"Last night." Pansy smiled, "Good Morning!"

"Morning."

"And I didn't get a morning?!" Cedric scoffed, "Rude."

"You— Morning." I shook my head as I smiled. I walked over to the couch and laid down, my legs were slowly giving out, so I'll just lay here."

Cedric :

I watched Adriana go lay down on the couch, staring at the table in front of her. Pansy continued to make pancakes and bacon for Merci and Blizzard. Dezzi and Eli were chewing on hay outside.

"Adriana how many pan- is she asleep?" Pansy laughed, walking over to the couch after turning off the stovetop. "Aw. She looks so peaceful right now." she cooed. I don't blame her for being asleep, being tired. She's been through so much, not just in those four days, throughout her whole life.

I grabbed the blanket off the small couch and put it over Adriana, giving her warmth.

"Cedric?" I heard her soft voice. "Yes darling?"

"Lay with me."

I nodded. Adriana sat up and allowed me to lay down before laying her head on my chest. She let out a small sigh, a smile growing across her face. I started to play with her hair, Adriana soon falling asleep.

"I'll get up later." she mumbled in her sleep, "I promise."

"It's okay," I said through a light laugh, "Sleep as long as you need, darling."

As long as you need.
