It's been almost a week since Theo left. Pansy was more open and talkative with Adriana— But really she's only hinting to her how much she hated Theo and how much Cedric misses her.Adriana played dumb.
She only played dumb because was was confused.
Confused as to why his heart never ached for someone else.
Confused as to why he never left her mind.
"I'll be right back Adri! I'm going to walk Mercy and Blitzy."
Blitzy.
How cute of a nickname is that, Adriana thought.
"Got it!" she replied back to Pansy.
She heard the front door open and close, and then heard Cedric come down the stairs.
"Good morning." he said, running his hands through his hair.
Adriana laughed quietly, "Afternoon, Ced. It's twelve forty-seven"
"Are you serious?"
"Yup."
Cedric groaned and rubbed his face, "Fuck."
He walked into the kitchen where Adriana stood in front of the sink, washing the dishes.
Cedric stood on the other side of the island, watching Adriana— With her tired eyes, she looked up at him.
She smiled, "What?"
He sighed, "Nothing." Cedric said. He began to walk around the island and towards Adriana.

"Nothing I just—" he stopped.
Cedric leaned down and pressed his lips against hers.
The kiss they shared wasn't filled with anything sexual.
Hunger.
Greed.
None of that.
It was filled with love, and only love.
His hands rested at her waist before pulling her closer. Adrianas' arms wrapped around his neck.
Her tongue slipped into his mouth as his did the same to hers. It felt right. Everything felt right, for both of them.
Breaking the kiss, he looked into her eyes. Adriana's eyes were light.
And even though she didn't say anything, her eyes said everything.
The love she had for him stayed, and Cedric knew that. His thumb ran across her bottom lip, slightly opening her mouth.
But it all ended too soon.
Adriana looked down and slowly backed away from him, "I should go to the—."
"No." he grabbed her wrist, "Please."
She shook her head and took herself out of his grip, "No. No, I- I can't stay here with you right now." she told him, "I have somewhere to be. I need to clear my head, because the more— The more..."
