"I'm gonna be sick—" Adriana said weakly. The nurse handed her the trash can and Adriana hurled into it. She wasn't throwing up anything really, a majority of it was blood. She had nothing to throw up. "Again?"
"Yes, ma'am." The small nurse replied, "I'm so sorry for your loss—" her voice trailed off as Adriana brought her knees to her chest, hugging them.
As much as she almost hated to idea of having a baby, knowing she let two die hurt her. She told herself she'd have safe sex, but always ends up forgetting when she's in the moment.
"I'll give you some time." the nurse spoke softly, giving Adriana a small smile before leaving the room.
Adriana began to sob, but no noise came out. Tears welled in her eyes, her vision becoming blurry. She started to claw at her own skin, digging into her flesh. The cuts on her arms began to bleed. She started to pull her hair as she let out more incoherent sobs. And that mark, that damn mark. She didn't scratch anywhere around it, only above, and on the other arm.
The doctors and nurses surprisingly didn't question her about it.
But,
She was angry, at herself.
I let them both die, she said to herself.
*knock knock*
Doctor Evans walked in and gave Adriana a smile. She wiped away her tears and rubbed her face. "How are you feeling, LeClaire?" he asked her.
She stretched her legs out and threw her head back on the pillow, "Horrible."
"Listen, it's not your fault about the babies—"
"I know that." Adriana muttered, "But I still feel horrible."
The doctor sighed and walked up to her,
"You'll get better," Doctor Evans whispered, "Soon."
He ran his hand up her thigh and to the hem of her underwear under the hospital gown.
"Don't fucking—" The redhead broke the doctors nose; using the palm of her hand and striking him in a upwards motion, "Don't you fucking touch me."
He got knocked back and eventually hit the floor due to the sudden action. He was groaning in pain on the cold tile floor. Adriana made a face and called out for one of the nurses. Doctor Evans stood up and ran towards Adriana, wrapping his hands around her throat and choking her,
"Dumb slut."
The nurse came in, and as soon as she did, Adriana pushed the Doctor off her and got off the hospital bed. She straddled herself on top of him and began to choke him, just as he did to her.
The nurse, terrified, she called security and a few other nurses.
They came quick and got Adriana off the doctor. She was kicking around and trying to get out of there grasp. They pinned her limbs to the hospital bed and began to strap her down; as if she was a crazy, out-of-control patient.
"He was the one harassing me! Why are you strapping me down?!" she complained.
"Fucking pussies! All of you." Adriana spat.
"Get bandages for her arms." A nurse said.
The security guards and nurses finished strapping her down, grabbed and detained Doctor Evans, and left the room. One stayed and told her,
