I Fell In Love With An Idiot

Often I hear people rambling,
about their life long partner,
that didn't last a life,
"I fell in love with an idiot!" 
They have said.

Well, I fell in love with an idiot too,
a stupid,
crazy,
beautiful idiot,
who stole my heart,
but did so with a smile.

The moment I looked into your eyes,
the minute you held me,
the second our lips locked,
I knew,
that this weirdo,
was mine,
and I was yours.

I fell in love with a prankster,
if I'm down,
you make me smile,
if I'm already happy,
you make me even more so.

I don't want to hear people's questions,
I'm too busy laughing my head off,
and being happy,
because you make me feel,
like I could do anything. 

Please nobody talk to me,
about why it's not good to love a joker,
I know you're silly, 
but I also know,
that if I needed to cry,
I'd have your shoulder.

People have dragged you down,
hated you for who you are,
but I promise I will never,
you give me more joy,
than I've ever experienced.

Nobody tear me away,
nobody can take me from you now,
not after so long,
I wouldn't feel right away from you,
because I fell in love with an idiot,
a perfect imperfection.
