One Million Minutes

I sit here,
and I stare at you,
hoping you will,
look at me too,
but you never see me,
you never do,
I really love you,
if only you knew.

You don't really hear me,
when to you I try to speak,
you don't really notice me,
for my courage is too weak,
it seems like you're climbing mountains,
conquering peaks,
while I just sit here,
and my eyes start to leak.

Sometimes I wish,
I could look up to the sky,
and know that I have you,
and you would never lie,
but still I can't talk to you,
I'm simply too shy,
I wish they had some confidence pills,
I could buy.

So I continue to stand here,
for so many a day,
for being nervous,
is the price I must pay,
I think whilst I daydream,
and under the stars I lay,
that I'd wait one million minutes,
if you'd just look my way.
