A friend is someone to rely on,
someone who always has your back,
someone who's always by your side,
in kindness they never lack.
Crazy ideas and inside jokes,
making you laugh every day,
mischievous looks across the room,
so many things I could say.
To my friends, I thank you,
for being there for me,
for telling me things I didn't know,
and always letting me be free.
For the reassurance and the encouragement,
I hope apart we never drift,
your smile is contagious,
and your friendship is truly a gift.
