Few Days Time Skip: Kuroo's POV

This stupid rain still hasn't really let up at all, has it? Good thing I'm able to do work from home. Kenma's actually still here. He's asked permission to do some videos here, and I didn't care. He'd just stay in my room and I'd leave him alone while he did his videos or editing on his phone.

He should be done now and lunch was done. I walked to me room, pressing my ear against the door before hearing nothing, so I poked my head in. Kenma looked over as I smiled.

"Done?"

"Mhm."

"Well, food is done. Want to come down?" I asked, Kenma getting up and following me to the kitchen and sitting at the table. We ate quietly while Butterscotch decided to flat out lay himself on the table with us. I tried shooing him away since there was food up here, but he wouldn't leave us alone.

So, I gave up and let him just lay there. At least he wasn't touching any of the food. He just, laid there and kept blinking slowly at me...

I swear that cat wasn't a normal cat..

"Kuroo?"

"Yeah?"

"So, how did you meet Tsukishima?"

"Oh, he and I met at one of those dating clubs."

"Oh."

"Have you tried going to them?? They're pretty good, find good matches."

"Oh. No, I really haven't tried them."

"You should, find yourself a girlfriend or, whoever."

"I don't know, I'm not sure if I want other people to chose my significant other for me." Kenma said as he picked at his food. I shrugged and leaned back.

"I say give it a try at least once. Who knows, you might end up finding your "soulmate", huh?" I said with a smile, Kenma shrugging slightly. I furrowed my brows before going back to eating. Gee, Kenma was a downer about all of this, wasn't he.

Well, whatever. His life I suppose, won't affect me. Only thing that was affecting me was the fact Kenma's cat spilled, or tried to chew, all of my prescription medication. I actually haven't felt too bad lately, but I still needed to get them refilled soon.

I looked over when I heard my phone buzz. I excused myself and went over to grab it from the counter to check it.

Bokuto: Dude, guess what

Me: What?

Bokuto: Take a look at this

Bokuto sent me a link for an article and I clicked on it, skimming through it for a bit. Huh, so there was a guy who was figuring out how to "reconnect" soulmates with each other. I wonder if it actually worked? I'm not sure how this all worked anyway, but it wasn't my field so I wouldn't. But, looks like the guy was getting a lot of pressure on media for it.

"Is something wrong Kuroo?" Kenma asked as he wandered over. I looked down at him and shook my head.

"No, my friend just sent me somethi-" I paused when I heard a small crash. Oh no... Butterscotch better not be breaking something else..! I set my phone down and rushed off.

Kenma's POV

I watched Kuroo run off, and I turned to follow him before I glanced over at his phone he set down face-up. Huh?

Someone was  working on being able to reconnect people to their soulmates. And, it was working.

...I wonder if I should contact him. Looks like he lives somewhere here. Doesn't look like he's too popular from the website Kuroo had up, but, I was kinda curious. Kuroo didn't know I was his soulmate. And I'm not even 100% sure myself. I mean, I was pretty darn sure, but it'd be good to know for sure. But would Kuroo be mad?

I'm not too sure how it works. So, maybe I'll try and see if I can contact this guy and talk to him about it. I looked around, Kuroo still gone so I picked up his phone to closely see which article this was before typing and saving it to my phone to look at later.

"Kenma, please keep Buttercup-"

"Butterscotch."

"Butterscotch away from anything breakable..!" Kuroo said, holding Butterscotch out to me. I took him from Kuroo, my cat just meowing at me as Kuroo sighed and rolled his eyes.

"Sorry. Did he break something?"

"No, but he almost, almost, broke a vase. My boyfriend gave it to me last week, I don't think it needs breaking."

"Right.. sorry." I said, Butterscotch meowing lazily while flopping in my arms. Kuroo shook his head while I carried Butterscotch back to Kuroo's room.

I climbed into bed, sitting my cat down with me as I curled up and got busy looking at the article I saved. I looked up the guy's name and found he had a website. Looks like all of his work and stuff was being threatened to be taken down, so I saved his number and email quickly and sent him a message.

Me: Hi. My name is Kenma. I was curious about your work. Would it be possible to talk to you about it?

Unknown: Hello Kenma! I'm so glad you're interested in my work. I would love to meet up and talk with you further about it if you are interested. Unfortunately, with this weather, it won't be for a while

Me: I understand. But once the rain has cleared up, can I message you back?

Unknown: Of course! I look forward to hearing from you. Let me know if you have any questions in the meantime

I smiled slightly and set my phone aside. Butterscotch meowed at me as I looked down at him...

What was I doing..? What does it matter if I got reconnected with Kuroo again? If he didn't want to do it, then, it won't change a thing. He even had said he never really cared about who his soulmate was. But, there was a tiny part of me that hoped he would care once he knew. So, maybe it'll be worth it.
