|5 Years Later|

T H I R D P E R S O N

The dusk had appeared, the cool breeze in the city of Mumbai was rarely seen. In this five years soo many things have been changed. Zahid got back to his profession. Being a pilot ran in the family now. Ruhaan and Humaina have been married for 3 years now. They have been blessed with a 2 year old daughter. They named her Rifah.

The Khan family were having their evening snacks when the voice of adhaan made them retreat towards their room for praying magrib salah.

Ruhaan left for the masjid to pray. He came back after a while when he saw his daughter Rifah sitting in the bed silently playing with her teddy bear. He took her in his arms and walked out from the room as Humaina was praying her salah.

Ruhaan with Rifah in his arms walked towards the kitchen.

"You want to eat it, Rifah?"

Ruhaan asked as he took the chocolate cake out of the refrigerator.

"Yeshhhh!" Rifah chided as she excitedly smiled towards his father. The happiness when the 2 year old baby girl encountered her favourite chocolate cake was the most adorable thing Ruhaan had witnessed.

"Let me feed you the cake before your mother comes after praying her salah."

He came near her and cut a bite of the cake from the half-plate and fed it to her when he heard his wife speak from behind,

"Ruhaan! You know that she is coughing so much yet you fed her these cake. Last night she had more than enough."

She came forward and glared at the father-daughter duo. Rifah cried as she was left hanging in between eating her favourite chocolate cake.

"Rifah, let's go baby. Your father will not leave a chance to spoil you." Humaina took Rifah and made her walk beside. Humaina was 8 months pregnant. Her eighth month was almost at the end.

"Aina, let me feed her the cake. She rarely has any chocolate."

Ruhaan walked behind Humaina and Rifah. He took his days off as he wanted to spend his time with her as she can have their second baby anytime. She needed to be in intense care especially in this time.

"Rarely? Last night she had lots of cake and cool drinks which led her to have cough early this morning and you are saying me rarely?"
