Leaning on the bathroom sink and running a hand through your messed up hair, you stared at yourself in the mirror wondering what the hell you were going to do and what the plan was. Whatever you decided, it was bout to cause a bit of controversy between you and Mason and for sure would leave one of yous with the answer you didn't want.

After five mins of debating with yourself, you slowly emerged from the room knowing, as much as you wanted to, you couldn't lock yourself away forever and at some point would have to face the music. When you turned the corner you were surprised to see that he hadn't moved an inch from the sofa since your little, well rather big, disagreement and you didn't know whether that was a good thing or not. Was he still angry, did he mean what he said? You couldn't tell as he sat expressionless gazing at the tv in front of him, you gently creeping closer to him and plopping yourself down next to his body before resting your head on one of his arms, tracing a selection of patterns along them.

Silence fell across the room, it not being a comfortable one and neither of you really having a clue what to say or do having spoke your mind not even an hour earlier and by god did you regret it.

"What" you repeated again, shifting your gaze to Mason. A look of confusion more than anything washed over your face, trying to process the question he'd asked. "Move in with me" the words fell swiftly from his mouth, saying in the most casual way possible without a hint of nerves in his voice. The same couldn't be said for you as a bunch of shaky words left your lips, not really having a reply for him, "you-you want me to move in with you? Like, move to Chelsea?" you eventually got out as he nodded. I mean of course this topic was going to come around at some point seeing as you've been dating for six months, but to be fair it hadn't really crossed your mind.

"Yeah, why you don't want to?" He jokingly laughed, not seeing your saddened frown change before looking up from his phone, "you don't do you" he sighed as you lowered your head, taking his hand into yours. "It's just a lot to think about that's all, I was sort of planning on staying up north to get a job" you mumbled, not seeing the look of disgust form across his face, "wha-what, so you'd rather stay up there then move down here with me? You can easily get a job here and a good one...we're in London" he harshly said, ripping his hand away from your grip.

"Look it's not completely about that, you're asking me to move six hours away from my family that's a big deal you know" you state, getting up from the sofa as he rolled his eyes, "well sorry not everything's about you Mount" you continued as he walked out the room. "I just don't see the big problem, move in, get a job here, simple" he shrugged as you followed him into the kitchen, shocked by how insensitive he was being, "Go on then, look me in the eye and tell me you'd do the same thing for me" you challenged only to not get an answer. "Yeah that's what I thought, so stop being a dick ok" you sarcastically laughed, feeling yourself get more agitated by the second, "fine then, pack your cases and fuck off back up north and don't bother coming back" he said as a tear trickled out your eye before storming off to the bathroom...

"Maybe this isn't working out' he concluded, breaking the weird silence filling the air as you gripped his arm tighter, "please don't say that, we can figure something out" you whispered, feeling that watery sense in your eye again followed by a tear which ran down your cheek, landing on his arm as he gently wiped it away. "It's not like I can just leave my job and move up to you. You know I would if I could" he softly spoke as you reluctantly nodded, "I never said no...I just need to think about it, but I don't know if I can leave just like that" you trailed off, raising your head to a fed up Mason, your eyes red and puffy from crying before he lets out a huff..."then I don't know about us anymore" 💔

------------------------------------------

It had been a couple weeks since yous last spoke, a busy one as well with you graduating and having a job lined up ready to start in a few days time and everything seemed to be falling into place, all apart from the most important thing. You took the advice of "fucking off back up north", mainly to graduate, but also because you wanted to see how things would play out and if you secured the job or not and to be honest it was clear your relationship was on the rocks at the min and was agreed yous both needed some space.

Were you going to regrets this? Probably, but it had to be sorted and at least you'd know if you still had a boyfriend by the end of it. You softly knocked on the door and it took a couple minutes till he was present and opening the door to a smiley you, "Hi, can we talk?" you asked as he moved out the way and let you in, not saying a word.

"Thought it was your car, why'd you not just use your key?" He questioned seeming confused as ever for some reason, before automatically flicking the kettle on and making you a tea, almost as if it was instinctive. "Would've been a bit weird to just walk in, you could've been up to anything" you innocently giggled, putting a smile on his face, which was nice to see for a change, "Anyways how you been, en route to graduate soon aren't you?" he smirked, passing you the cup and joining you on the sofa.

"Yeah...I kind of graduated last week, I just didn't think with everything going on that you'd be bothered about coming" you nervously mumbled, taking a sip of the hot drink as he was a bit taken back, "oh that's amazing...I'm proud of you, you know. Should've told me, I'd have been there in a flash" he began only for you to let out the saddest looking smile. "Ah well it's time for the real world now I guess" you exclaimed in hope to lift the mood in the room although Mason just sat there looking guilty as hell, "did you get the job you were after, a finance advisor?" he asked with a half smile as you eagerly nodded, struggling to hold back your excitement. "Actually that's what I want to talk to you about..." you began as he gave you a look to say continue, "yes I did get the finance job and I start on Monday but...it's down here in Central London" you said, his eyes going wide with happiness.

Inching closer to him, the flirty side of you began to show as you climbed upon his knee and looped your arms around him, "sooo...I was hoping that offer of moving in was still available, only if you'll have me of course" you trailed off just as he crashed his lips against yours and before you knew it the two of you were back in the living and he was hovering over you, showering you with kisses and only pulling away when he needed a breath. "I love you, London gal" he winked as you rolled your eyes, "Nah I'll be a northern lass darling, that ain't ever changing" you laughed before the two of you were head over heels and stumbling up the stairs to your bedroom ❤️
