Chapter 13- More trouble

Rose staggered into the house late at midnight. The boys wanted to cheer her up and in their books, cheering her up meant going to the bar and getting drunk.

And she had been a bit too preoccupied with her thoughts to exactly disagree.

It was dark and Rise smiled. She felt like a vampire.

Maybe she could go and suck Daemon's blood. That would teach him a lesson.

The lights suddenly got turned on.

"AAHH....morning light!!!" Rose yelled trying to cover herself, "I'm burning!!!"

"What?!" Daemon asked confused as he stared at the woman who was writhing on the floor. He didn't know what she was trying to do but she looked like she was having a seizure.

It was impossible to stay angry with her.

"The sunlight burns vampires. Aren't you aware of that, dumbnut?" Rose asked, still on the floor.

Daemon stared at her for a minute, not knowing what to think about her choice of insult.

He moved to her and roughly grabbed her elbow and pulled her up.

"You're strong..." she said confused, staring at his eyes. He stared back at her emerald eyes. They were bright, he had never seen them this bright before.

"Are you also a vampire?" she asked and she giggled happily, "Are you going to be my Edward?"

Daemon was broken out of his trance and he glared at the giggling woman in his arms.

"I don't sparkle," he said roughly and started dragging her up the stairs. She didn't seem to notice his efforts as she had begun hopping around the kitchen screaming something about sun shines.

"Woman, can we please go up?" Daemon asked tiredly. Rose turned back to him and studied him. For a minute, he thought she had sobered up.

"Only if you give me a piggy ride," she declared happily and stretched her arms.

Definitely still drunk, he noted.

Having no choice, he let her climb on his back and he started moving upstairs. It would have been easier if she didn't keep biting his ears.

He reached her room and pushed open the door. He contemplated throwing her on the bed but he felt a little bad. The girl was telling him about how good he smelt. It would be a little rude to throw her.

He lay her on the dark blue bed sheet and she smiled happily at him. He smiled back varyingly and stepped back. He got a whiff of her scent and he remembered why he was supposed to be angry.

Who did she think she was drinking and coming in late at night?

"How dare you drink this much? And that too at night? Are you..."he snarled.

"You're angry," she whispered. Daemon stared at her surprised. It was the first time she hadn't taken the bait and started yelling her head off.

"Don't be angry. It makes you less pretty," she said. She yawned and curled into the sheets. Daemon stared at her as she beckoned for him to lay with her.

"It will be fun," she said with an innocent smile. Daemon knew she didn't mean it in a wrong way. She sounded like a 5year old anyway.

He sighed and lay next to her in the bed.
