Chapter 15- Murder 2
TRINK....TRINK...
The person under the sheets moaned drowsily.
TRINK...TRINK...
A hand came out of the sheets, grabbed the alarm clock and flung it across the room. Rose closed her eyes in content when she heard the dreadful thing crash the wall.
She sighed in relied but frowned when she thought that she would have to buy another alarm clock.
She groaned and got up and stumbled to the washroom. When the water fell on her face, yesterday's events came back to her.
He had got another letter.
He was pissed.
He called her a whore.
She choked down the tears. She had never been called one before and being called by him hurt even more. After her morning duties, she went downstairs.
There, on the refrigerator door, she saw a sticky note.
Gone to Seattle for case. Don't bother me.
Well, her husband should get the award for being the sweetest and most caring person. But she consoled herself. He could have gone without leaving her a note.
And that too, after yesterday's fight, it would have made more sense if he did that.
Checking the fridge, she face palmed when she realized that the food supply was over. Of course, what else could she expect when she set Alec loose in the house.
Not feeling hungry, she went grocery shopping. After an hour, she was back at home and taking the the things from her car when she heard a crash from her house.
It couldn't be her husband anyway. He was in Seattle. She quickly tip toed to the house door and gasped quietly when she realized it was unlocked.
Don't worry, she said to herself, it could just be Daegon or someone. Having had a bad experience with hitting guys with files, she just walked inside.
She gaped at the man.
Dark brown hair that looked dyed with blue eyes. He was stretched on her couch and was leisurely changing the channels. He caught sight of her and to her surprise, winked.
"Dennis?" she asked unsurely putting the bags down and trying to reach for something to throw.
"No sweetheart, try again," he said lazily and got up. He walked to her and his stride reminded her of someone.
"Who are you?" she asked panicked.
"I'm the other Spencer brother but you can call me Derek, love" he said with a smirk.
Derek...she rewinded her memory. That name sounded too familiar. She quickly put the face and name together and realized.
"You're Dennis' brother?" she asked unsurely.
His smile immediately dropped, "I think I should change your mind. After all, I can't have you remember me by my brother's name. It's Derek, love."
He stalked slowly to her, walking just like Daemon.
At least now she knew where Daemon got his tricks from, she thought dryly.
"Go away from me, you pervert or I'll castrate you," she threatened.
