Chapter 26- The past will always haunt you

"Deandra..." Rose repeated incredulously.

The platinum blonde blinked with disbelief at her.

"Rose..."

Before Rose could respond, Deandra barreled into her arms and hugged her tightly.

"ROSE! OH MY GOD...." Deandra wailed into her arms.

"Oh, Andrea..." Rose whispered as she hugged her back.

"It's Deandra, not Andrea. Though I suppose it is not like you will listen to me, you never did before," Deandra said wiping off her tears.

"What are you doing here, Andrea? Did you know Aiden?" Rose asked softly. Deandra started whimpering and put her head on Rose's shoulder.

Rose understood immediately.

"You liked him, didn't you?" Rose asked.

Deandra nodded and tried to calm her breath.

"Did he know?" Rose asked.

Deandra nodded, "He took me out for a couple of dates. I just... I was so worried when he went missing and so was Daemon..."

"Daemon?" Rose asked confused.

"Yeah, well, I should never let him know that I called him by his first name. He desn't think that it is professional," Deandra commented dryly as she wiped her tears.

"Ok, Andrea, I am very confused. How do you know Daemon? Did he threaten you as well?" Rose asked.

Rose snorted and then shrugged, "A couple of times."

"What is going on here?"

Rose and Deandra turned to see the man of their conversation walk towards them. To Deandra's surprise, he put his arm around Rose's waist and kissed her forehead.

"Are you ok?" Rose asked softly to him. He nodded and smiled.

"I'm going to prove this case and that will let his soul rest in peace, that is my aim," Daemon said.

"And I will help you," Deandra said.

Daemon saw the confusion on Rose's face and said, "Rosalyn, meet Deandra Stut... something, my assistant and Miss. Stut, I mean Deandra, meet my wife Rosalyn."

There was an awkward silence.

"Wait, she is the one who you called a caged monkey?" Rose asked Daemon. He shrugged, not looking bothered.

"You let him call you Rosalyn?" Deandra asked surprised.

Rose saw Daemon look confused at her.

"He never listens to me," she said rolling her eyes.
