- Two Years Ago -
"Do I really have to come here? I don't think it's totally necessary for me to go here and have fun. I'm fine at home." I stomped on each step that I took. I hate being dragged along by anyone, especially of what just had happened. My boyfriend, or ex-boyfriend now, broke up with me, and now my friend are getting me on this concert, next town over. Well, he said that he liked someone else already. What a petty excuse to break up with someone you love.
"Yes it'll be fun! Besides you need to calm down, bruh. You've been stressing out the whole situation and it's not good for you." Justin pat my back as we went to his car.
"Seriously I'm gonna hate you for doing this. It's not even a day yet and I feel horrible already. Also I did not even ask my parents if they'll allow me to go to this concert." I took a step back, almost running back home. My parents are so gonna kill me if they found out that I'm not at home doing my homework to catch up from what I missed this week.
"Taken care of already, Connor." He clicked his tongue and shot a finger gun at me.
"Bruh, I will definitely kill you." We took a seat on his car, and we drove off over to the next town.
I really miss him already, and it's not even a day yet. But I gotta move on.
"Uh Connor, you are spacing out dude. We're here." Justin shook my shoulder to snap me out of my trance. I raised an eyebrow at him, confused.
"How long was the drive?" I asked as we both stepped out of his car. "It wasn't that long, of course. Now do you have your fake ID?" He took out his wallet and showed me his ID.
I shuffled through my wallet and pulled it out. "Yep I got it here, ready to get wasted?"
"Someone's excited now! And here I thought earlier you don't want to do." He nudged my shoulder as we walked through the carpark.
"C'mon already I wanna see what this concert was about. You better not disappoint me, Justin." I jogged all the way to the queue and he followed. He showed the guard a couple of tickets and we were in in no time.
I looked over my shoulder and noticed a guy with two girls right next to him and he was giggling a lot with them. He... looked so cute. His not-so-long hair brushed to the side, his lips looked supple, his sparkling eyes... Mesmerizing.
"Bruh, you look like you got frozen in place. See something you like?" Justin was already slurping something from his cup as he handed me one.
"Do you know him? I mean... Does he seem familiar to you?" I gave a questioning look to my friend. If I were to know someone from my town and the next few towns over, Justin is the man. He knew a lot of people from making fake IDs and this guy looked like he was not even 18.
"Hmm I think I've seen him come to our school once, and I may have met him already to get one of those fake IDs." He finished his drink and gestured that he'll be back to get some more. I nodded while I continued to watch this guy.
I can barely hear from afar what they were talking about. They are pretty loud, well drunk loud. It was kinda amusing to watch actually. For a small guy like him, he sure did have a big and loud mouth. Well I guess when he's drunk.
After a few moments, he turned to my direction and we made a short eye contact, before shyly turning away from me getting back to his friends. He might have said something to them that caused the two girls to squeal. Then he returned his gaze back to me, as his two friends started to push him to my direction.
As he started walking, I can't help but notice that he almost tripped on his untied shoelace. I was ready to catch him when he regained balance. He was still holding his drink and took one last sip before throwing it into a nearby bin.
