- Connor -
I opened my heavy eyes as it adjusted to the light beaming through the curtains. There was a sudden warmth that enveloped my whole body, a nice and calming warmth my body was longing for the longest time. I missed this feeling. I missed being right next to Dale.
His arms and legs wound on my body, his head was on my chest, as it lifted gently on my breathing. I took this opportunity to hold his hands as we still sounded peaceful, but also careful not to wake him up. It was the first day of our mid-semester break and Dale definitely deserved this one.
I twisted his arms a bit so I could inspect his wrist and was hoping he didn't do anything stupid at all. It was a mistake. He had more than enough cuts on his wrists that I can count. That's why he had been wearing long sleeved shirts the whole time at Uni. How could I not pick that up.
"You saw." Dale startled me a bit as our eyes met, wincing at my gaze. He bit his bottom lip nervously and slowly pulled his arm away. "I'm sorry. I know this is bad, I could have done better..."
I shook my head. "No Dale, those are on me. Put all the blame on me, it's my fault why you had to do them. I just wished you hadn't done them at all." I grabbed his wrist again and placed small kisses on his scars. They looked pretty deep as one stood out, I sighed.
Dale snuggled closer, our naked body underneath the sheets collided, our skins tingled at each other. "If... uhm you feel comfortable talking to me already, please do. I don't want to see you hurting yourself." I brushed his hair away that was covering his hazel eyes.
"Same goes to you. I don't like you keeping all your feelings in you." Dale reached up to my chin as he rubbed his thumb on it gently. I nodded at him.
We stayed in this position for a while, until his phone started to ring. Dale scrambled off from me and took his phone out. "Shit, I completely forgot about my parents!" He quickly answered his phone and was pacing back and forth.
I can hear some shouting from his mum, it was muffled but damn, Dale looked like he's in deep trouble. "Y-yeah, sorry about that Mum... I uh... well, jumped off the window..." He scratched the back of his neck then looked towards me. I only smirked to his annoyance. He rolled his eyes and turned around, looking away from me.
And boy what a sight it was. I would never grow tired of seeing Dale naked in front of me. It was as if his silhouette was just the perfect fit for him. His slender back, his plump butt cheeks, his thick legs. Dale might looked skinny but he had worked out back in summer and he had gained some muscle. though not completely toned and defined.
He looked my way once more as he spun around, his lips curved to a smile. "Yeah I'm with Connor right now... Uh huh... Don't worry, we'll pick up my stuff there... Love you too Mum and please tell Dad I'm sorry for sneaking out... Also tell Keri she's still a bitch for throwing me out of the bus." He hanged up and crawled underneath the blanket, his head popping right next to me.
"Mum says hi, by the way." His face always looked so cheerful that I just want him to stay this way. I sat up our bed, leaning back to the headboard.
"I don't want you to be sad Dale. I just want to make you happy all the time." I leaned down to him and kissed his lips. "I swear you'll never be sad anymore."
He pushed the blanket away from our bodies, revealing how naked we were. "We should hurry and have breakfast then. We're going to the street party right?" He stood up from our bed and grabbed my towel on top of my chair. "Let's take a shower together." He invited. I stood up and we exited our bedroom as we head towards the shower.
After another steamy make out session, we got dressed and walked to the café right next to our apartment complex. It wasn't so busy today since most students were probably still asleep or getting ready for the street party. We went inside and grabbed something to drink and to eat. He had an Americano for his drink and a sweet scone which he really liked to get. I got a mocha and a blueberry muffin.
We sat down by the window and just some nonsense chat and a bit of catch up. Dale said that he had a hard time this entire time after what he heard in the library that day.
"I'm really sorry about that Dale. I... didn't mean to end up that way. I don't know what's gotten to either me or Jace that pushed us too far." I apologetically said. My fingers mushed my muffin down to my sudden lost of appetite.
He shook his head, disagreeing. "No, that's alright. I get you. I mean not exactly, but I'm trying to understand. I'm sorry too because I well.. I dunno. I'm just sorry."
I reached for his hand that was holding his cup of coffee. "At least we're doing better now. You're the only one I love Dale. I would never ever look for anyone else, beside you."
"I wouldn't look for anyone besides you either. We both complete and complement each other." His soft smile almost shone brightly on his face. I liked how he would sometimes glow up no matter the situation is.
"Thought I see you guys over here. We were just on our way to the party." Jace stopped by, someone following him from behind.
"We?" Me and Dale simultaneously asked.
"Oh yeah, uhm... This is Hunter." Jace introduced us to this shy guy, with blonde locks and snakebites. His green eyes seemed to be his most noticeable feature, as they pop out from his face.
"H-hey guys." Hunter greeted us, obviously still awkward as he looked down and noticed mine and Dale's hands together.
"Oh hi there Hunter, I'm Dale and this is my boyfriend Connor. Pleasure to meet you." Dale introduced us to Hunter. He awkwardly waved at us. Jace shrugged and rolled his eyes. He cupped Hunter's cheeks and pressed their lips together. Hunter's eyes grew wide in shock but slowly melted down.
Jace turned around, smug smile on his lips. Me and Dale just gave them a very confused look and asked at the same time. "When?"
"Last week. I saw him at the library doing some sketches and when he looked up and our eyes met, I was immediately caught. My pants would have dropped down straight away for him." Jace said rather proudly, while Hunter blushed, his face in a very deep shade of red.
"S-stop that Jace. You're literally embarrassing me to everyone." He crossed his arms, rubbing them anxiously.
"Nope! I would never stop." Jace wrapped his arms around Hunter's waist. Me and Dale looked at each other and started laughing.
"Bit of advice Hunter, be patient with him. Also don't give him too much sugar." I winked at Jace, rolling his eyes at me.
"We'll see you guys later, right?" Jace questioned. His fingers were already intertwined with Hunter's. They look cute together.
"Yeah we'll be there later. Have fun you guys!" Both Jace and Hunter nodded and waved goodbye at us.
"They look cute together huh." Dale propped his chin on his knuckles.
"I was just thinking the same Dale. Hopefully they will be happy together." My thoughts were on Jace and Hunter and wished them the best. I propped my head on my chin as well as I exchanged gazes with my boyfriend.
"I love you Dale."
"I love you too Connor."
