Chapter 2

Chapter 2- The Costume Company

A Few Months Later

Koko's POV~~

It's been about a week or so since I got my class schedule and sent in my hero costume information. I'm supposed to go to the costume company so they can get my fur and hair. Since I'm able to change my body, my clothes would need to transform with me. Once when I was little I had transformed into a full wolf pup when I sneezed. I was wearing my pajamas when it happened so they got shredded.

I was getting ready to head to the company when my mother came into my room. "Koko, don't forget to take an extra change of clothes. We don't want you coming home in animal form again." Her tone was slightly harsh towards me but she wasn't as bad as she normally is when she brings up that memory.

I nodded my head at her with flattened ears and a smile, "I'd rather not be stuck again. Last time was awful." I cringed at the memory. I accidentally transformed into a small lion during school and I was forced to stay that way until Dad came to pick me up. Long story short the school was sued and I was homeschooled until middle school.

My mother left my room and I continued to get ready. I grabbed my satchel and found an outfit to put in it. Getting permission from my parents and those in charge of aviation quirk users, I was told I could test my flying ability to get there. Knowing my grey tracksuit was made with wing holes, that was the one I grabbed. Deciding to leave my hair down, I put my sound mufflers in my bag and headed to the roof.

On the way to the door I was stopped by my favorite maid. "Ami, how are you?"

"I'm just fine, Miss. Master Yaoyorozu told me to give you these for your flight." She bowed and handed me a deep blue helmet with goggles. They would keep bugs out of my eyes and protect my head if I fell. 'The helmet is most likely a conditional thing"

Smiling gratefully towards her, "Tell my father I said thank you and that I will message him once I land. I'm off now, stay safe while I'm gone.'

Stepping onto the roof's ledge and closing my eyes, I focused on a pair of wings similar to pro hero Hawks. My ears were twitching as I felt them appear. They're around the same size as his and are black with a few violet feathers scattered within.

Doing this however made my tail vanish. Since it didn't help my senses, my quirk decided to remove it. As I opened my eyes I could tell I gained the vision of the predator.

I started off checking if I could still float with them. To my pleasure, I was able to. I placed my feet back on the roof and stretched my wings a little to adjust to them. I'm not allowed to fly that often due to the laws and my safety. As soon as I remembered how to fly I was heading towards my destination.

Mini time skip~~

After about five minutes of flying, I was close to the company building. When I decided I was close enough, I stopped using my wings and floated down to the entrance. Landing safely, I took off my helmet and folded my wings.

Remembering to let my father know I made it in one piece, I took out my phone, 'Hey, Dad. I just landed at the costume company. If I don't reply then don't get worried, the machines are so loud here I wouldn't be able to hear the message.'

I was able to get a few feet to the door before hearing the machines inside. Grumbling about my future ear pain and not being able to use my sound mufflers, I slowly walked in the front doors. A secretary with loud high heels walked up to me, "Excuse me dear, but do you have a hero costume appointment?"

I nodded at her with my ears flicked back, "I was accepted into UA, so they told me to come for my costume specifics. I have the letter with me if you need it, ma'am."
