Parental Advice
(Absolute WORST Sense of Timing)

Wu Sanxing pulled Wen Jin into his lap and appreciated the low moan he received for his efforts. Wrapping his left arm around the smaller waist he reached across the table with his right and grabbed a juicy strawberry from a bowl before trailing it in whip cream and presenting it to his smiling lover. Wen Jin bit her lip before closing her eyes and sticking out the tip of her tongue to taste the decadent morsel. Wu Sanxing gently pressed the tip of the strawberry to Wen Jin's lips before slowly pushing it in and out. Wen Jin wiggled on his lap causing Wu Sanxing to tighten his grip to steady Wen Jin before things heated up faster than he planned. He leaned down to taste the sweet lips of his lov...

BAMMMMMM!

Wen Jin jumped off Wu Sanxing's lap and landed on the floor due to a sound that could only be their front door being kicked off the hinges.

SLAM.

No, wait, the door slammed shut. Still on the hinges then.

"Where are you when I need you?! I need some parental advice!"

Wen Jin took Wu Sanxing's hand as he helped her off the floor. "We're in here, Xiao Xie."

They listened to their 'son' kick off his shoes and stomped his way toward the kitchen. Another ominous bump was heard.

"Ouch! Who the hell moved the stupid recliner?" Wu Xie whined limping into the kitchen.

Wu Sanxing began clearing off the table after 'adjusting' himself... kids had the absolute WORST sense of timing. "No one, sunshine, it's been in the same damn place for five years."

Wu Xie didn't say anything just scolded at the smiling man before yanking a chair away from the table and dragging it towards the refrigerator. The chair banged against the stainless steel door, causing Wen Jin to cringe and then Wu Xie stepped onto it reaching into the cabinet over the appliance.

Wen Jin watched Wu Xie violently shift the contents of the cabinet for a moment before looking at Wu Sanxing with a questioning look on her concerned face. Wu Sanxing just shrugged and mouthed 'drama queen' before smirking.

"Yeah," Wu Xie mumbled not turning around, "I totally saw that and you have no idea what kind of day I have had or how bad next week is going to be, you insensitive jerk."

"Wu Xie, please watch your language." Wen Jin said sternly taking a seat at the table as Wu Xie continued to rummage through the cabinet.

"Right," Wu Xie turned around smiling sheepishly, a hand rubbing the back of his head, "Sorry, Aunt Wen Jin." Turning back to the task at hand he mumbled, "Now, where the hell is the tequila?"

Three shot glasses slammed unto the table in unison. Wu Xie swayed slightly and pushed the bottle toward Wu Sanxing who understood his newly assumed role as bartender and refilled the glasses.

"Minions! That's what the sadistic bastard called us. Minions... Aren't they like in hell or something?" Wu Xie slurred while positioning his fingers to resemble horns on either side of his head.

"Well, not necessarily," Wen Jin corrected trying to adopt her 'teacher' face but failing miserably, "Really it's a term for slave or follower or something... Anyways, it doesn't have to be hell related."

Wu Xie nodded sagely, "I still think Zhang Rishan is the devil though." He downed his newly refilled glass.

Wu Sanxing smile at Wu Xie's serious expression as the boy eyed his empty glass. They hadn't had a night like this in a long time. It was going to hurt tomorrow morning but tonight it was great to have the three of them together. Wu Sanxing had been barely twenty years old when his brother had died in a car accident along with his wife leaving his two week old son alone. Wu Sanxing had immediately stepped up to take custody of his nephew. He and Wen Jin had been dating for less than six months when Wu Sanxing became a father over night. It had been hard. Both of them were in college and now they had to handle a newborn baby. Wu Sanxing remembered telling Wen Jin to leave and find something better so that she could enjoy her life instead playing 'house' with him. Sometimes, twenty four years later, Wu Sanxing swore his cheek still stung from the slap he had received that night.
