Fated Colors

~

1 month later...

Elijah's POV:

My head bumps onto my desk continuously as I let out a groan. Ever since meeting Jackson, I've become crazy about this curse. I just had to break it. I really want to find out what all this is about. But I can't even find anything.

It's been one whole month and I found absolutely nothing. Jessica helped me out by going to the library and she tried to find anything related to the curse but there was nothing about it other than the ancient book I got.

We tried finding Jackson at the same spot in the park, but he wasn't always there. I eventually gave up going to the park because it felt like a waste of time. Jessica however wasn't giving up and persistently went there every day. I can't thank her enough for all the help she is giving me.

My attention comes back to reality as a ring resonates in my room. I bring my concentration to the direction; my phone was buzzing on the edge of my desk. I take it into my hand, the name 'Jessica' printed with a photo of her in the middle.

It was a photo I took when we were at the beach that day. I unconsciously took a photo of her while she was staring off into the vast horizon. Her hair was flowing back as she faced the wind. She looked beautiful and no one could deny. Realizing I was going off topic, I press the answer button without hesitation.

"Hey Jessica." I let out a groan and I heard a laugh on the other side.

"What happened to you? Gonna die?"

"Yeah yeah." I roll my eyes as I flop back onto my desk. I lay my head on my arm with the phone sandwiched in between next to my ear.

"Yeah have fun. But before you die, I was at the library today and I found Jackson again. He said he is going to the park today. It's up to you if you want to meet him." The tiredness in my body immediately flows away and my energy is regained. I sat straight in my chair and regained my posture.

"Really!? Then we got to go!" I got up from the chair, nearly falling and breaking my bones but managed to regain my balance. I let out a sigh of relief.

"I'll see you at the intersection." The call ends on her side and I grab a thick white jacket and leave the house.

I got to find out more about this.

Third POV:

"I think that's him." Jessica points to the same spot we went to last time. The same old man sat there on what looked like a rock, looking down at the grass mumbling something we couldn't hear from a distance.

"Jackson." The said male looks up and quickly snaps his fingers, the familiar young and handsome man comes into view. He slides his hands into his jeans pockets and strolls to us.

"Nice to see you guys....again." His eyes solely focused on Jessica.

"Hi." Elijah mutters and Jackson didn't bother replying.

"Let's take a walk in the park. The weather is beautiful." Jessica says and the two males agree. They walk under the bright yellow sun and the light blue sky. They walked past numerous people, yet they didn't talk at all. Just silence, that was absolutely suffocating.

"So Jackson, can you tell me more about this curse?" Elijah finally breaks the silence and Jackson looks up from staring at his shoes while walking.

"What more can I tell you?" He lets out a cough but quickly covers it up.

"I saw the ancient book about you, but there are missing parts. Do you know what was written there?" He thinks for a moment and stops in his tracks; looks around and motions us to follow him. We walk behind the trees and into a small patch of grass.
