"Are you awake?" Ri Mu Hyeok knocked the door to her 'room' where she had been sleeping the past hours. After the debacles with his men had died down and they had come up with a plan, he told his men to go ahead and prepared the necessary. He then told her to finish her breakfast and go back to sleep. After telling her very firmly that under no circumstances she left his house, he left.

Seri used that time alone to reflect what was actually happening to her. She was still hoping that she were in some kind of a sick dream, and that once she woke up, she would find herself in her comfy luxury penthouse. But seeing that it had been hours since she woke up, polishing the porridge clean and the photos of North Korean leader still stared at her as if accusing her whereabouts in their sacred land; she understood that it was not a dream.

Therefore, she put his suggestion to sleep into a good use. Besides, it was not often a CEO such as herself could find a laid back time in the morning to sleep in; wounded or not wounded. And she was right, that her 'room' was actually a storage more than anything. She saw used and old stuffs were pushed aside hastily to make room for the thin mattress and thick blanket she used previously.

But who was she to complain, she thought bitterly. It was very courteous of the man to pluck her from the street, cleaned her and bandaged her. Now he even used his position to arrange a hastily planned escape for her. She couldn't profess that she knew a lot about this close-yet-foreign land north of her homeland; but what she knew was that it didn't take kindly to strangers, especially someone with her nationality. And it didn't take kindly towards those who want to leave its border as well.

That was why she was surprised that they managed to concoct than boat plan this quick. Did it perhaps something to do with them being soldiers on the border? She had heard about border patrols who defected to the South, because they were familiar with how the border security work.

Sighing. She wondered whether it was a karma that she found herself in this predicament. She tried raking her head to guess which bad deeds that she had done for her to warrant this bad luck. And unfortunately, more than dozens of name had come to mind. Her mother and brothers name came up organically, of course. But then also more than handful of men whom she had dumped, or simply neglected altogether. And business partners, and friends or acquaintances. Shit, Yoon Seri. Was this even the time to count your misdeeds, which turned out to be many?

Shutting out her eyes, she tried to focus on the feeling of her bruises and wounds instead. The pain felt dull, the Colonel must had used some ailment to take the sting of them. Damn that chuckling Colonel, she thought. Though, she must admit, with that face and that title, she was impressed by him. She had dated some Military men for fun back in her twenties, so she knew that to achieve such title in his age (at least the age she assumed from his face and posture) was quite remarkable.

And he had stripped her, which meant he must had gotten a good look of her body; she thought while that embarrassing blush crept up her face. Not that she was ashamed of her body. She had worked so hard on her body that she never felt shy to flaunt her assets in style. But the thought of that intense eyes, scanning her bare body for bruises and wounds. Then carefully cleaned, put the ailment and wrapped in the bandage. That was a very intimate things to do to a stranger.

Her hands automatically went to the inside of his shirt and found that her bra and panties were still in place and there was no sign of force on her intimate area. Sighing with relief, she tried to banish all of these somber and weird thoughts and once more focusing on the feel of dull pain of her bodies to take her to sleep.

It didn't take long until her tired body succumbed to sleep, therefore she was quite disoriented when she found the sun was already reached its peak and past when she woke up and found the Colonel was smiling at her from the door.
