Yoon Seri sighed as she nodded towards several men who were now constants in her daily life. They were part of the rotating bodyguard's team that were assigned to her. Yes, bodyguards, in plural. A man named Park Nam Gil and Choi Go Ah. They were not bad people, by any means, and definitely professionals.
But they were nothing like Ri Jeong Hyeok, who was now only on one of the three shifts circulated around her. It was also a compromise from Jeong Hyeok part, because he also had to focus on continuing his investigation to catch Cho Cheol Gang therefore he had to relinquish some of the responsibility to guard Seri during the day to her father's bodyguard team.
At first, Seri was livid when she found out how the trail of information on how she was almost kidnapped by Cho Cheol Gang found its way to her father. But she should've guessed it, Gu Seung Jung had been some kind of her best confidante these past three years, and Mr. Choi had been her trusted driver throughout the years. It was only natural that these two people closest to her got together on the chain of event that threatened her life.
But still, it didn't stop her to throw stinky eyes to Gu Seung Jung as her father pushed his way into her apartment; almost burning Ri Jeong Hyeok in his place with his burning stare.
"Honestly, Seri-ah, I don't understand why you didn't come to me immediately when this news came into you" her father said, still reluctant to call Ri Jeong Hyeok's name, "You know very well the risk if this individual succeeded in his intention, or did you forget 5 years ago already?"
Seri kept looking down to play with the edge of her house robe, while Jeong Hyeok was looking at anywhere other than her father. These two looked very much like a pair of teenager being scolded by her father for being caught doing the nasty. The scene was probably very comedic, if one didn't realize that the 'risk' they were talking here was a South Korean woman about to be kidnapped by North Korean rogue agent and wanted to drag her to the Hermit Kingdom to prove a crime of a prominent family deserving public execution.
Gu Seung Jung, the one who caused all of this, had no regret at all over informing his potential future father-in-law about the incidence last night. He had smooched his way to Mr. Choi, and the fact that he already knew the middle-aged driver since his junior high school, made Seri's personal driver much more agreeable to his request on information.
That if there was ever any weird incident, or threatening condition happened around Seri, he was to be notified immediately. There seemed to be a small hesitation to the old driver, since he only contacted him in the morning instead of the very same night. However, he still thanked the man profusely and gave his assurance that there would be no repercussion on his dissing his employer out and that he was doing the right thing by informing him.
He then threw another glare to Jeong Hyeok. He had warned him about this, that if he ever let any danger befall on Seri, he would had his head. Though, he figured, involving Seri's father would be far more effective in chewing the North Korean man and her father would take appropriate action to safeguard his own daughter.
