Chapter 11: The Vow

Seri woke up and saw the smooth white ceiling on top of her. It took several moments for her to realize her surroundings and her smile broke out when she did. She turned to look at her side, but found the spot empty. Frowning, she sat up and saw a small sticky note on top of the pillow beside her.

'Going out to get breakfast. Be back soon. Love you'

Her smile got even wider seeing the lovely little notes and it took everything in her not too squeal in delight. Instead, she put the note on her lips and let herself laid back to her pillow and let her mind wandered back to last night.

~Earlier last night...

After closing the door, the atmosphere was suddenly awkward between Seri and Jeong Hyeok. Their earlier conviction of spending the night together had lessen a few degrees since neither knew what to do. Seeing that Jeong Hyeok was even more nervous than her, Seri decided to make things easier for both of them.

"Do you want to wash up first?" she asked him, "I saw that you didn't have a chance to get your toiletries from Seo Dan-ssi's room"

Jeong Hyeok nodded and smiled in gratitude. "Yeah, that girl wouldn't let me in once she closed the room. I have to wear the clothes I left in the drier yesterday"

Seri chuckled then added when looking at her walk-in wardrobe. "Well, I think we can use my wardrobe to put your stuff for a while" then she added for good measure, "Or you can put them in one of the boys' room, though it will be slightly packed given I don't have proper wardrobe in those rooms. Which got me thinking, we also have to pick up some supplies for the boys and..."

Her rambling was stopped by Jeong Hyeok as he put his finger on her lips. With an intense look, he slowly drew her into his arms and kissed her lips slowly. Seri sighed into their kiss and tightened her hold on his body. After a while, he let go of their kiss and put his forehead on hers.

"It's just me, Seri-ah. We'll go as slow or as fast as you want, no pressure," he then added with a small smile, "I only want you to be happy" he echoed her words earlier.

Seri chuckled lightly and nuzzled his nose.

"Are you copying my words now, Ri Jeong Hyeok-ssi?" she teased and he chuckled.

"Well, your words are always good, Yoon Seri" he then straightened up. "You said something about toiletries earlier? Do you have spare toothbrush?"

Seri nodded and pointed towards her bathroom. "Below the sink, second left drawers from the top. I also have some facial wash that you can use if you want"

Jeong Hyeok rolled his eyes. Ever since he came to Seoul, he never stopped complaining on how much skincare Seri thought he needed. So far, she only managed to convinced him to use facial wash and sunscreen; and he declined point blank on her suggestion to use bubble mask.

How he could end up with smooth skin like his now with just a bar of soap for his entire body, she had no idea.

With a smile, he went on to the bathroom and closed the door behind him. It gave Seri time to assess the room condition, and found that a few candles might be nice to set up the ambiance. With a few commands, the lighting of the room was changed to a softer hue and Seri went ahead to lock the door.

The last thing they wanted was for Seo Dan to break open the door when they were onto something; or worse, Pyo Chi Su. She shook her head from the image of the stiff North soldier walked in on them snogging and broke open the boxed chocolate to neutralize the thought.
