I had been a tad bummed since we lost the quidditch cup. Wood was obviously over the moon. He was constantly talking about the Gryffindors' victory. It had been a very close game.

The other slytherins tried to get the Gryffindors disqualified but all of their attempts failed miserably.

Luckily, no one got hurt severely. Fred, George, and I threw another party in the Gryffindor common room for their win. Mcgonagall was completely against this party but somehow we still managed to get away with it.

"Did you know you and Malfoy are cousins? I can't believe you're related to that fucker," Syd informed me as we left the great hall to the library.

"Cousins?! How the hell does that work?" I questioned, shocked.

Draco and I are related? It's weird thinking that I have family. I was under the impression they were all dead. I was headed to the library now to see if I could find anything about my mother. She was a part of the Roux family according to Lupin.

"Your father is Draco's mom's, cousin. So I guess you're his second cousin but still blood."

"Ew." We opened the double doors to the library and took a seat at a table in between two tall shelves. "Wait Syd how do you even know this?"

"The Malfoys are a very well known family, as are the Blacks. In my family we are supposed to memorize all the purebloods and their relatives," The girl sighed.

"Why?"

"For marriage of course. My family is very keen on keeping the pure bloody legacy. And because I'm an only child, if I don't marry a full wizard man then...well...it's not good."

"Sydney that awful."

It enraged me to see how strict the pureblood families were. I know the Weasleys were not bad but that earns them the title, 'Blood Traitor'.

"It's no big deal," She shrugged. I knew she was lying, I could see it in her eyes. She didn't believe in the same things as her family, but she could never tell them that. "What are we waiting on Ara?"

"Granger. She said she'd help look for books on my family." As if on cue, Hermione turned a corner and started to us. She looked like she hasn't slept in months. Exams were coming up and she had double the amount to take than the rest of us. "Hey! Any luck?"

"That's just it. I can't find anything. Nothing. Not a single book on the Roux family. They are mentioned a few times in a book of all the pureblood families but it never goes into detail. It was under the category 'The Seeing'. That's it." She sat down across from me and I put my head on the table.

"How does an entire bloodline just disappear? And how does no one remember them?"

"So you checked the entire library?" Syd asked Hermione. I lifted my head once more and looked at the girls in front of me.

"Yeah. Well no- I didn't check the restriction section. But I simply cannot go in there." A smirk rose on my face and I sent a knowing look. "Oh Ara. You musn't do that. You can't get in any more trouble right before the exams!"
