Soul Marks

This chapter is set back when Julie ran from lunch and Luke went after her.

Julie's POV:

Julie moved quickly to get away from the situation, from him. She had choked back tears trying to understand what was happening. Why would he kiss her and then ignore her?!? Did he like her  or did he just think that it was a mistake?

Julie found herself in the music room, sitting at the piano. She broke. Tears fell and she let herself feel every bit of sad and angry and confused that she was.

She heard the door creak and snapped her head up. Of course it would be Luke. She couldn't even have a moment to cry! "Luke what do you want?" Julie said the words at a loss, sounding defeated. Not a far cry from what she felt. He looked cautious and sad, "I'm sorry Julie. I didn't mean to hurt you-" 

" So you kissed me in the studio and ran away, don't acknowledge me at lunch and invade my space when I'm trying to get away to breathe but you didn't mean to hurt me!"  Julie spat the words out as if they tasted wrong. 

Regret flashed across Luke's face, "I know. I shouldn't have kissed you the other night, I'm sorry."

It was exactly the wrong thing to say and more tears spilled from Julie's eyes, "I have to go, Luke. I'll catch you later." He opened his mouth to say something...to stop her but she was already moving out the door and far away from Luke Patterson.

Later that night; Split POV

Julie had gone home early, unable to handle another run-in with Luke. 

Luke had gotten scolded by all their friends for the rest of the day. 

They both decided to get a shower and calm down and just think. They let the water crash down on them and just washed the day away. 

After the much needed calm down, they both grabbed pajamas and started to change when Julie's eyes caught on something. Then Luke. Their hearts stopped because they knew.

In exactly the same spot on their ribs, just below the heart was written:

Hi, sorry about my friend.
